So many more satellites in the sky than when I was young (if you're not familiar, looks like a small star but moving across the sky in a straight line, and you usually see them better in your peripheral vision). My dad explained that to me years ago when I swore I saw a star slowly moving, but it disappeared if I looked right at it. So very many satellites... I don't know exactly how I feel about that, but I don't think I like it.

Staring at the stars is like staring into a campfire; it brings us as humans back to times long past, shared in a common ancestry.

Progress of technology aside, it seems somehow perverse to defile that.

...yeah, except 13 Mile Road IS totally closed west of Woodward Avenue, between Greenfield Road and Southfield Road. Like 100% closed, turn left or right on Greenfield, 'cause you ain't going through. Had to take a detour through Birmingham to get up to Telegraph.
