My girlfriend got Living The Dream on her switch, and it looked like soooo much fun, but I don't have a switch so I got it a different way

After a bit of fiddling with the settings I got it to work, and it went swimmingly!! There were some weird quirks though, in cutscenes and in the mii maker my mii's faces would turn completely black

Also, for some reason a line would appear in the middle of my miis faces outside of cutscenes

It didnt really impact my gameplay except when making miis, so I didnt mind much. After some playing and making a neat trio of miis, I saved the game and closed it.

The next day, I log on, and the sky is BLACK. The fountain is a sickly green, and there is an impenetrable black fog over EVERYTHING.

This scared me a little, but the game was still technically playable, so I kept playing. Then, one of my miis says this:

Then, they show me a blueprint of streetlights in the city. The game tells me that it'll show me how the island looks at night (Ive never seen my island at night) and the game freezes. I can still hear the audio for around 15 seconds until the game crashes abruptly.

Then some mf will attach two mechanical arms to a mannequin and everyones like HUMANOID ROBOTS ARE WORKING IN THE FACTORIES. THIS IS THE FUTURE.

how about spiders. I want giant robot spiders building cars. I picture it lowering down on a rope and welding stuff with all its hands

So I finally generated my world and chose grey langur men as my civ (yes im weird) and decided to put my fortress in the middle of this good area, the exact spot where there wasn't an aquifer. 15 seconds after I get in I hit the labor tab and my game crashes. I reopen the game, open the world and try to put a fortress down and now theres a GREY LANGUR MEN TOWER WHERE MY FORTRESS WAS
