Firstly, I HATE Mardok. I am a big fan of watching growth & people taking accountability but it takes Mardok *SO LONG* to come to the realisation that taking this sweet sunshine loving wild girl off her planet, away from all she’s ever known, her family, her pet she’d have to leave behind, the Khui in her chest that is their very existence, their way of being, their culture would be taken out and killed & she wouldn’t have any freedom, she’d be trapped in a small apartment with him whilst he worked shitty jobs just to for them to get by. They would be scrounging and suffering. He couldn’t afford them to live somewhere where she could have outdoors grass and trees and real air experience. And this place has war and violence and some of the most traumatic awful things.

And for SO LONG he’s like yes 🙂‍↕️ this is a great idea 🙂‍↕️ because I do not like the cold ☝️ and I have a fear of being left behind.

DUDE YOU WORK ON A DODGY CARGO SHIP TRANSPORTING DODGY GOODS WITH PEOPLE WHO DONT EVEN LIKE YOU. YOU COULDVE BEEN LEFT BEHIND AT ANY ONE OF THOSE POINTS TOO AND YOU DIDNT THREAT ABOUT IT!!!

He’s so selfish. And then he realises it’s wrong at the last second and changes his mind. Bc he has nothing to give her, no family, just a dank small living space, shit jobs, capitalism & horrid people.

And then I thought about it more and I realised. He’s just a man. Well, he’s Mesakkah. But he’s corrupted by capitalism and war and all the shit *we have here*. So of course he sucks lmao. He’s based on a man from this planet (kinda) and Ruby just did a spectacular job of writing from an average human blokes perspective tbh.

So I still hate Mardok. But it is expected. I hate men too so.
