2. Is there a trope youâve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
A trope I've yet to try my hand at...well I suppose I've always thought about doing a proper cisswap/genderbend AU but never committed because I couldn't think of an interesting way to do it, but I don't usually draft fics in terms of tropes. Really, it's less tropes that I get really enthusiastic about and more specific kinks that I haven't done a focused fic for yet. I really wanna write a plantcest fic about gunplay, for example, but I've only ever drabbled that or mentioned it in passing.
15. If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?
Ohhhh fuck. Okay. This is such a gorgeous thought. Immediately--one last run. I really can't emphasize how much thought about a camera-type pov went into this fic, or how much color grading I was doing in my head while plotting this out. It's the best fic I've ever written but it's also, I think, one of my most visual; I imagined much of it animated while writing in an angular, harshly lit style. Desaturated colors but for the light, which I think floods everything. I was so absolutely lucky that it was for a bang and Kat did these gorgeous illustrations, and I think that's also why so much of the fic has visual imagery...I was thinking about how an artist might interpret it.

It pools there, licks at the skin, splashes off the divots and crags of Knivesâs body.Â
21. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
LOL so a fic is lucky if I give it anything more than a cursory once over for glaring typos. Once I'm done drafting I am dooone it's going up on Ao3 and away from me. This means a lot of what I do is kind of fragmentary and unfocused but it's a small price to pay, because I think there's magic in a mostly-unedited draft that rewriting often dampens.
Commissions are a different beast because those go through a rigorous round of editing for flow, characterization, and spelling/grammar/etc, and I try to get at least one more person's eyes on it as a final "ok you're good for liftoff" sanity check. Usually this is my brother (truly I make this guy read through too much of my porn. Sorry not sorry @poseiben) but if I'm feeling extra nervous about the characterization I'll ask someone I know in the fandom to give it a once over :]
