My FranMaya obsession came back!! And with it, I have finally started reading fanfiction, genuinely my first AO3 experience is through this ship. I wanted to make some fanart, and Im gonna make more when Ive got my pc again, but to take advantage of the hyperfixation while its here, Ive started just sketching it! The Mysterious Affair at von Karma Manor

As a little personal tradition, usually I like to post a music playlist at the end of long fics. For this Agatha Christie Narumitsu AU, I didn't listen to much while writing, but I did read a LOT of Agatha Christie to prepare. And so I give you my top 5 Agatha Christie novels ranked (not in order of quality but in order of how much I, poodlepunk, personally liked them).

5. And Then There Were None: I think we can all agree that this is one of her masterpieces and just a great work of literature but it’s honestly creepy as fuck. I like my mysteries cozy and not too scary so I prefer not to be haunted by this spooky story even though it’s so good.

4. Murder on the Orient Express: Just a classic of the genre with a great cast. The mystery comes together so well. One of Poirot's best solves and my favorite of the travel mysteries.

3. Cards on the Table: the Avengers: Endgame of Agatha Christie’s own characters. She has a bunch of her own detective characters from different series work together to solve a mystery and you can tell she’s having a great time doing it. Also featuring best girl Ariadne Oliver.

2. Peril at end house: This has it all. A cracking great mystery. A mysterious manor house. Poirot and Hastings bff shenanigans and banter. And femme fatales are hot in my humble opinion.

1. Dumb Witness: This should be The Murder of Roger Ackroyd which is objectively the best but you know what? DUMB WITNESS. Because it has everything I like. A dog is the star witness. Hastings is a dog person and it’s the best!!!!!!! 5 star Hastings and Poirot adventures and mustache mocking. Very fun and very cozy and the killer caught me by surprise!!

Towards Zero: Honestly very romantic and interesting story. A great twist on the murder mystery genre with very compelling characters.

Death in the Clouds: Poirot literally solves a murder on a plane a la Miles Edgeworth.

DRAWTOBER #11 - Play Your Cards Right by poodlepunk

Phoenix has somehow been dealt a winning hand. Miles Edgeworth wants to go out on a date with him! But after so many years, is it even possible to make the leap from friends to lovers? Also, can the two of them get through one date without stumbling over a dead body?

I LOVE casefics and I LOVE fics that explore how Pheonix and Edgeworth are just two weird middle-aged men completely unable to normal about each other or anything else, so this fic is a DELIGHT!!! Wrightworth make an honest attempt to go on a real adult date and manage to completely fuck it up in the most on-brand way possible and get embroiled in a muder investigation instead... though obviously, for these two blessed weirdos, investigating a murder together makes the date better. this fic has a brilliant case narrative, the most on-brand utterly groan-inducing names for side characters, and a really sweet and lovely progression of the Wrightworth relationship, feat. an enthusiastic Kay, a concerned Trucy, Maya there in text form only, and poor poor Ema who has to be there in person.

oh! and how could I forget, they have to infiltrate a night club as part of the investigation. want to see their outfits?
