The idea that it’s somehow degrading for a fat person to date someone who prefers their body type is wild. “Don’t be with someone who likes you for your body, be with someone who likes you for you!” No one would ever discourage a thin person for dating someone who was… attracted to them? In fact, it’s considered something of a prerequisite. Ultimately it’s the idea that the only genuine, trustworthy attraction to fat people is in spite of their appearance.
