As a regular makeup user, I personally feel that using makeup has a positive impact on my mental health. It helps me feel more confident in my skin, plus it gets my creative juices flowing. Yes, wearing makeup for the sole purpose of hiding "defects" or to appear prettier to others can be unhealthy if left unchecked, but lots of people fail to realize that it's really just another form of art and self-expression. It gives me the same warm feelings as putting together an outfit I love, cooking a good meal, or talking about something I love.
