- katherine is as compassionate as her life will allow her to be; she always tries to be the optimistic in the room. she loves to learn and will take every opportunity she has to learn new things. her want to get out of her family’s business leaves her more reckless than what is probably appropriate, but its a risk that she feels like she needs to take. while she believes that not everyone is good, she believes that most people can become a good person if they wish.

key backstory points :

- the oldest of twins, she was always the one that strangers were naturally drawn to, the one that did better in school, had more friends, ect. it was a fact that drove a wedge between them from an early age, fist fights and screaming matches being a common place in their home.

- while katherine doesn’t openly condemn the family’s business, the way that she never speaks about it with her family, how she leaves the room whenever they’re talking about it, and the way she doesn’t use them makes her stance obvious. it’s when she’s on track to graduate in the top ten of her class and comes home with a college acceptance letter that her family puts their foot down. they make her join the business, forbidding her from going to college so long as she works for them

- she moves out at nineteen, beginning to take online college classes whenever time will allow her. she eventually gets a job at a local bookstore, an excuse to not see her family as much.

- rebecca will always love to be the center of attention, no matter what happens. she thrives on knowing people hang onto her every word and action - it’s like a drug to her. she attempts to humble herself, though, trying to go back home as often as possible. ultimately, she loves her fanbase with her entire being and would do anything for them.

key backstory points :

- growing up in the countryside of china, not much was expect of her future, she would follow in her parents footsteps (meet a nice, christian man; they’d get married; have kids; take over the farm; and the cycle would repeat.) but she’s never wanted that, even from a young age. she decides at an early age that she wants to be a musician; she sets her sights on becoming a kpop idol when she’s six, a teenager in the nearest town showing her the genre.

- she practices as much as she can, never letting anything else take up her attention span. she starts an online fundraiser at age ten to travel to korea. maybe it’s a random stroke of luck, or maybe people just thought it was impossible for it to truly happen, but she gets enough to travel there when she’s fifteen. well, she more runs away from home to go to korea. she signs up as a trainee a few months later, finding a small group of young girls to room with.

- a label picks her up when she’s seventeen, giving her a debut six months after her signing. it’s practically an overnight success, winning one award in it’s wake. she’s since had two comebacks.

- appearances matter more than anything, jihyo would never be caught dead look as if she just rolled out of bed - even if she was on her death bed. she is fairly egotistical and rarely allows anyone to come before her. she is, indeed, very fake, willing to always be the bubbly and charismatic person in the room. the person that makes you forget all of your issues, even if it’s just for a few minutes - even at the expensive of her emotional well being. for the people that get beyond that, she’s compassionate and tired above all else.

key backstory points :

- adopted by an actor and a published author, jihyo was use to the spotlight at an early age. it’s not that her parents forced her to be in it; no, they’d rather that she stayed out of it for her entire childhood. she’s aged five years when she’s begging her fathers to allow her to be in the spotlight. they give in when she’s nine years old and she gets taken onto a red carpet. she’s an absolute natural at it.

- on a whim, her parents make her an instagram page, constantly updating it with bits and pieces of the already fairly cushioned lifestyle she lived. it’s when she turned thirteen that she takes over the instagram page herself, focusing on beauty and fashion. she reviews everything she can get her hands on, gives tutorials on how to look like you have a million dollars to throw away, ect. her page grows, gaining upwards of ten million followers by the time she’s sixteen.

- she starts getting sponsorships at sixteen and a half, and they pay for everything. it launches her already comfy life - style to practically sitting on a throne. upon graduating high school, she started a trip throughout asia, studying the various cultures and fashion trends within its countries.

- her entire life is organized, everyone that she associates herself with is placed into a certain category and there are certain ways that she can interact with people in that category. she heavily focuses on work, rarely finding time to form a true meaningful connection with people. while she’s not outwardly judgmental, first impressions are definitely a huge factor for her. evelyn is a creature of habit, always sticking to what she knows works best for her and never daring to deviate from it.

key backstory points :

- growing up, she was always the book nerd that went to the school’s library all the time and was closer friends with the librarians than anyone else. books were constant; once they were published, there was no way to change what was written without having to write an entire new copy. for her, that was the biggest comfort. 

- living with a single dad that could never hold a job down, she constantly moved, never really being able to stay in one place for more than a year and a half at most. and while, as a kid, she loved it - viewing it as an adventure, it wasn’t so great when she was a teenager and all of her peers around her were pairing up and forming tight - nit social circles.

- college was a blur, choosing to go to a small, local community college to get her degree in communications. she takes several internships at book editing companies, eventually getting a job at one located in seattle when she turns twenty - five. she currently lives there, often times traveling for work to meet potential clients.
