as someone with autism, i have very strong boundaries and systems that i expect everyone to follow; one of those people being my grandma.

she knows about these rules that ive got, yet, she constantly breaks them.

she touches me non stop, blows on me, doesnt understand sensory issues, and cannot follow a simple system for the life of her.

anytime i tell her to stop, she just laughs at me? why?

the amount of times that ive cried over her horrid behaviour is absurd.

i’m just so sick of people making excuses for a grown, capable woman.

i’m autistic and for some reason, my relatives believe that anything slightly ‘odd’ is an autistic trait.

i’ve told my mum how much it angers me but she doesn’t seem to care.
