There is a new tv show about 90s teenagers, that‘s centered about a girl growing into her identity as a lesbian.

It‘s quite a good show. And I‘m very happy that there are getting more and more typical teenage genre productions out there, so young queer and questionig kids get a chance for representation and identification.

#so ummm #this parallel has me fucked up??? #the development like…. #the first gif they were literal strangers and root honestly didn’t care if she had to torture shaw or not as long as she got what she wanted (the machine’s location) #then that progressed into the second gif #where now root actually does care about shaw (a whole lot) and she only wants to ‘hurt’ shaw sexually cause kinky lol #now by the third gif root is unabashedly in love with shaw and ANYONE hurting her in ANYWAY is just not acceptable in her world #which leads into the final gif #and yes it was in shaw’s subconscious however #it’s still very much canon and i feel like it holds so much more weight than just root meaning physical hurt #she means emotionally, mentally etc #and shaw knows that’s how root feels about her (the one person who she knows she can be vulnerable with is root afterall, hence all of 6741) #and its even more heartbreaking when you think about how much hurt shaw really has been through in her life (i.e. losing her best friend, losing her father, people treating her differently because of her personality disorder and now being tortured for 11 months straight..) #so the fact that shaw finally found someone who loves her through it all??? would never intentionally harm her in any way?? thinks she’s perfect?? #i will never be able to deal ;-;
