प्रेमिका के पहनावे में

परिवर्तन आता है।

किन्तु वास्तविक परिवर्तन

पोशाक से परे

प्रेम में ही प्रतीत होता है।

कैसे वह, जो पत्थर-सी थी,

पुष्प हो जाती है

अपने प्रेम-परितोष से,

और उसी पुष्प पर

ओस बन कर ठहर जाती है।

वह अपनी पायल

उसके नूपुर की झंकार में

अपनी चाल मिला देती है।

अपने पल्लू की अंतिम छोर में

अपने प्रेमी की प्रतिभा

छिपा देती है।

दुनिया की दृष्टि में

बस परिधान बदलता है,

पर किसी को कहाँ पता

कि भीतर प्रणय-प्रवाह

परवाह में ढलता है।

dancing on a delicate thread—

Where one kept looking at the past,

while other to what's ahead.

One carried yesterdays in eyes,

the other, tomorrows

One is quite furious at the time,

while the other flows and follow.

They both were poetry

rusted with continuity’s dust,

weathered over time.

I glanced a little longer—

there were two more benches:

one where my past clung,

the other

एक कप मसाला चाय।

a metaphor for life

an allegory guides—

how to survive.

A steady tamp

too overwhelming.

A gentle nudge,

still not compelling.

Held in wait ,

the warmth runs thin.

Some brew begin,

And then fade within.
