A trans person has a 1 in 12 chance of being murdered
The average life span of a cis person is about 75-90
The average life expectancy of a trans person is 23-30 years old

Think about this the next time you go crying over “cisphobia” and “reverse racism”
MESSAGE
Watch: Trust us that it’s not clickbait when we say this speech about punching Nazis was so fired up that it changed our lives
The theme of the 2017 SAG Awards was unity, unity, and more unity. For one of the final speeches of the night, David Harbour of Stranger Things collected the award for best performance by an ensemble, slinging (or rather, shouting) unity at the audience. The crowd got on its feet. In the audience, Courtney B. Vance, Lea DeLaria, and Viggo Mortensen can be spotted standing at attention.

art by @terriblenerd. thank you for this blessed image
“If you fight fascists that makes you a fascist”
No??? In fact It’s the exact opposite???
If you don’t fight fascism, if you give it a platform, if you allow it to organize, if you remain neutral in the fight against fascism the you have completely betrayed those whom the fascists seek to oppress. You have betrayed them and you have sided with fascism.
This isn’t a fucking game and you don’t get to pretend that those who are trying to defend themselves against violence and oppression are as poisonous as those who are endeavoring to oppress them. You’ve either learned nothing from history or you haven’t got a damn lick of morality in you. Don’t like fascism? Fucking do something. Your inaction is not the moral high ground that you think it is.
I made this post at six am before going to bed and it has blown up a lil

talking about Rosie The Riveter, fun fact: while the We Can Do It picture has become the most-well known depiction of her in modern times, it wasn’t really a famous image when it was made–in fact, it wasn’t even intended to be her
the most famous depiction of Rosie The Riveter during WWII was probably Norman Rockwell’s painting
note what she’s resting her foot on
i fully support anti-fascist/anti-nazi butch lesbian rosie the riveter
Take me back I promise to try and stay longer this time I promise to try and be present I promise to try and appreciate

When you like watching them, Doing mundane things When you can't get enough Of their image That's when When you know You love them.
The feeling of trying to remember a song and knowing that you’re so close to figuring it out, but all you can remember is the tune and nothing else. That’s how going back feels. Driving the streets you used to drive around for hours, just passing the time, now feels very foreign and strange. The memories are still there but at a distance. No longer tangible, no longer real. They’re almost as if they had been dreamt. The places that were once so familiar, now feel cold and abandoned. You can remember the people and how you felt but you can no longer connect. The feelings are just memories now, they can no longer be felt. It is strange, to feel out of place in the place you grew up. But that I suppose, is the nature of leaving.
I remember standing among the crowd. Looking around, soaking in all of my surroundings. I wanted to steep in the moment and absorb everything. I think I always knew that I would someday be happy. I believe that even back then, I knew that someday, I would be different, too changed to go back. I think that’s what made me sad. Not that it was ending but that I’d be happy it was over. That’d I’d be happy I’d grown and changed; and that I’d left that place and those people behind.
I love you But it hurts I love you But I don't want to Tell me you love me too
The ocean has taken my heart captive And it calls to me Begging for my return

Homesickness sets in when you leave.
You intoxicate me Your words are sweet red wine Your smile a soft liqueur You leave me drunk
