I used to love listening to your poem on youtube "White Girl Can't Love That Way" and now I can't find it. Is there a reason it was taken off of youtube? ps You're one of my biggest inspirations

Hi there. I took it off of YouTube because it is a deeply problematic and appropriative poem, and it was my first attempt at writing about my class and I completely butchered that. I get a lot of messages like this, and though I appreciate them, I want to reiterate that that poem is deeply problematic and I wrote it from a position of immense privilege. If you want to talk more about that poem, and maybe any thoughts you have, feel free to email me.

You are a very important person to me. When you and your work came into my life, it saved me. How could I live up to it? How could I confront the demons, slay the dragons, admit to being the dragon? The stronger I got the more you pulled away. Of course that’s what happens. After that, it was inevitable I would stumble and fall. You made it so easy to hate myself, so I ran. I considered it a final thank you for all you had done. I’ve tried not to be a Haunting. I’m sorry you ever had to know me.

Could you help me remember a poem of yours? All I know is there’s a line in it about boys and firecrackers and your mouth, but I can’t for the life of me remember which poem it is
