The time had come to open the prompt list for claims. This years list of prompts has doubled from last year and some of them are just downright delicious.

This post provides the information on how to make a claim for fic/art/podfic for the Draco Tops Harry Fest 2026. Please read carefully.

Claiming will close on April 3rd.

Reminders:

• Prompt claiming is on a first-come, first-claimed basis.

• Sign-ups are done via a Google Form (see above).

• You must state your first, second, and third choices for a prompt when you claim.

• Each prompt can be claimed once for art and once for fic. A prompt can also be claimed for fic AND art.

• Please state whether you are claiming for fic or/and for art.

• Yes, you may claim your own prompt. :) Just tell us in the Sign-up form.

• You can claim only one prompt at a time. You may claim another prompt once you submit your first fic/art to the mods. You may claim up to three prompts. (Exception: You claim a prompt for both fic and art.)

How prompt claiming works:

If your first prompt choice still needs to be claimed, it's yours! If your first choice is already claimed, you will get your second choice. If your second choice is already claimed, you will get your third choice. If your third choice is claimed, we will ask you to submit another three choices.

If you only want to request one prompt, that is perfectly fine. Take the risk of it being claimed, and you start over.

Once you fill out the Sign-up Form, you will receive an email from the mods about which of your claimed prompts you got and how to submit your fic, art, or Podfic. Please be patient. It may take up to 48 hours until we manage to send out all emails to fest participants.

We will update the Prompt List ASAP to indicate which prompts have already been claimed.

How to sign up to record a podfic:

Please make sure to read the Info Post about Podficcing before signing up to Podfic for the Draco Tops Harry Fest.

Reminders:

• All podfics must be H/D and top!Draco. In this Fest, switching between the boys is not allowed.

• You need to get permission from the author before you submit your Podfic to us.

• If you would like to Podfic a story but haven't decided yet, please sign up now and let us know which story you have chosen before April 3rd, 2026.

This means that after signing up and receiving your assignment, please refrain from informing the world what you're writing or creating art for. PROMPTING FOR @dracotops-harry FEST is NOW OPEN!

We are collecting prompts through a Google Form. Please click on the link provided below to add your most cherished top!Draco/bottom!Harry fantasies, plot bunnies, and story/art prompts to the Prompt Collection!

Please note - if you submit a prompt to the collection, it is open for EVERYONE to claim. You are allowed to claim your own prompt, however, there will be an option to self prompt at Claim time if you wish to wait.

Everyone can submit prompts, even if you’re not going to participate in the fest as a writer, artist, vidder or podficcer. Each individual can submit up to 5 prompts each. ♥

Prompt Collection will be from January 24th until February 7th. Claiming will begin on February 9th and end on April 3th. On February 9th, the Mods will post a link to a form where you can claim to write a fic, create art, or create a podfic. After prompting begins, a couple of days later, your Mods will reveal the prompt list - and as more prompts are being submitted - you’ll be able to see the prompts in advance. Remember claiming begins on February 9th, and we will post info on how to make a claim on February 8th.

You know that at Draco Tops Harry we LOVE podfics. If you have a FIC you’d like to prompt to be created into a podfic - please USE THIS LINK and we will have a SEPARATE LIST of PODFIC prompts.

If you would like to rec a fic for podfic that you, yourself, did not write - you must get permission from the author or show proof that the author is “OK” with their fic being turned into a PODFIC. (Then, you can fill out the form providing proof that permission has been granted.) Early morning rays blanketed his face from where he had been resting on his side of the bed, turning his tanned cheeks into a golden paradise. Harry’s eyes fluttered open and released a breath he hadn’t realized had been wedged inside his chest. The sheer sight of Draco bundled in the sheets beside him had made him want to crawl back into his lover’s warmth.

If he had leant forward to kiss Draco’s temple he would’ve done it so delicately, because he was allowed to.

It had been so easy giving in to their new routine, where he felt safe knowing Draco would be close and within reach each day.

Everything else had seemed so simple and insignificant. Away from prying eyes, they were once allowed to indulge in small things.
