As she spoke it dawned on him how much was going to change now, no more games, no more night time chases across rooftops, no more handing her over to the cops only to be glad when she escapes their cells. He couldn’t believe this day had finally come, the day when she says goodbye to Catwoman, it was the smart decision to make, but a hard one of that he had no doubt. He’d never be able to stop being Batman and a part of him had always thought she’d be Catwoman till her final days too. But obviously fate had something different in mind entirely. “You, me, Alfred and… our baby, we’re going to be a family. I’m never going to leave you, there’ll never be another woman that occupies my thoughts. You’re my one and only, I’m going to be the lover you deserve and the father our child will need to grow up in Gotham… I love you Cat… that’ll never change.” He smiled, his eyes close to tears of joy as he finally resumed carrying her towards and up the stairs, admittedly a lot more carefully and cautious now than before, now that he knew the product of their love grows inside of her. It wasn’t long before they entered his… Their bedroom. Carefully he lay her down on the bed, his forehead pressed gently against hers, “I can’t begin to describe how happy I am right now.”

There was a moment of regret when the silence continued to grow, his features both shocked and confused by the news only adding to the worry forming in her slender frame, that however vanished instantly when his lips crept wide across his cheeks. A smile she knew all to well. It was contagious her own lips mirroring his as the joy spewed from his. “I hope you realize that this doesn’t change the game.” she teased her lips brushing against his as the purr grew in her voice. 

“We can still reenact those nights, handcuffed and dripping wet in the back of the bat mobile right before you handed me in.” she purred. “I can still remember the night this little one was conceived, how even in my cell hours later, the cum was still oozing from me.” a whisper almost as the memory was a fond one.

‘Perhaps they could still be’ was what he thought when she mentioned how he stated they’d have kids of their own together when he was a child, though he wouldn’t dare say that aloud… not until he was a hundred percent certain of his feelings towards her. He laughed again at her mention of desert for the evening, “I’m sure that’ll be more than doable.” He mused as he ran a hand down his own face. They then sat for a few silent moment, during that time he processed exactly what it was he was feeling towards her, all the emotions of their youth come flooding back to his mind and he realized she had been one of the only few bright spots in his life after his parents died, even when they’d been apart for so long, the memories of their time together got him through some very tough trials and tribulations.

He eventually broke the silence, though not with the confidence and swagger of Bruce Wayne the man, but with the shy and somewhat awaited nature of when he’d been a boy, “Umm Charlotte.. how would you feel if uh our dinner tonight was a… a… a date?” He couldn’t believe he’d even allowed himself to say the word.

It was hard for Charlotte not to just fall back into love with Bruce, as children he had been her constant. The endless days of playing families and spies still were held close to her heart. There was an outline of lipstick on his cheek as she pulled away chuckling softly to herself as she reached up to wipe it away. There was so many memories in this house that even now with years from it, it still felt like home to her. Charlotte beamed in delight at his response, there was nothing she wanted more than to relive their traditional childhood routine with her soulmate. “Does Alfred still keep the cupboard under the stairs full with blankets?” Charlotte questioned before the silence fell upon them. The could sit in silence for hours but know if the other needed something. It was a gift that had acquired when spending so much time together.

"A date?” she relayed as the smile wide on her lips grew even wider. With a shift in her frame the brunette began to sit a little straighter, her head held higher than normal as she mimicked a poor impression of Bruce. “I don’t date. Date’s are wasted time and money.” she teased remembering an interview not long ago with a woman pressuring him to explain how he acquired the ladies on his arm. “Now Bruce Wayne, will this date end with a goodnight kiss? Because if not, I’m afraid I’ll have to decline.” Charlotte joked nudging him playfully with her arm.

Ethan hadn’t to wait long for the arrival of Barbara back into the room. He should have noticed when he woke up the sound of a shower from the next room, but he’d been slowly coming back to his senses so it’s understandable that he missed that. He couldn’t hold back the smile on his face at the sight of her, she simply had that effect on him, she was his happy thought now. Whenever he was feeling low he simply had to picture her face and it brought a great deal of joy to his soul. “I think I’ve done more than enough resting.” He replied as he shifted in bed slightly, she looks tired herself, she’s probably been up all night checking on him.. and yet.. she still looks absolutely stunning.

“Much better now that you’re here.” It was as he said this that he remembered he hadn’t been allowed to finish his confession from the previous night, should he continue it? Tell her the truth of his feelings? “Barbara… I wanted to tell you this last night, but my injuries prevented me from doing so.. I.. I’ve fallen in love with you. Head over heels, I think about you all day, you make me smile even when you’re not around kind of love.” He admitted, looking down at the bedsheets, unable to brave her gaze, he doubted she’d feel the same.

Barbara rolled her eyes with a playful motion her smile wide and amused by his comment. “You were bleeding out on my couch Ethan, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t relieved that you feel better, but you need more rest.” She told him with a stern point in his direction. Watching him shift with very little sign of pain gave her a wave of comfort, something that she had needed throughout the night. Without another word the red-head moved towards the window, underneath lay the drawers that held the essential items of clothing she required. Opening up the top draw the girl began to look through it. Looking over her shoulder Barbara made a soft hum an audible request that she was intrigued to know more. She was completely dumbfounded by the words spewing from his lips, and yet the more he spoke them, the more she too felt the same. Of course she wouldn’t tell him just yet. With a turn on her bare feet she crossed the short distance, the towel still held to her frame as she reached out with her free hand to check Ethan’s forehead. 

With a few silent moments the red head felt his head with the front and back of her hand searching for a temperature that was not there. “Hmmm maybe it’s the drugs?” she teased brushing her fingers over his cheek. “Is this why you’ve been following me around? because you love me?” she wondered out loud brushing her thumb lightly over Ethan’s lips. Desperation to feel them on her own overwhelming her.

The senator continued to find her attempt at keeping the facade of her dedication to the Jedi code rather amusing. “Oh don’t you worry my dear, I hadn’t believed you’d done anything that might compromise your purity with anyone else in the order… even if I had thought that, I could certainly keep that a secret.” He gave her a sly wink as he looked her over, slowly he was beginning to desire her not only for being his apprentice but for more.. intimate needs of his own.

She was definitely asking all the right questions one should ask when a senator admits to researching the Sith, yet her tone didn’t seem disgusted or repulsed by his admission, simply intrigue instead. “I think you’ll find there are very few in the galaxy who have any true honesty or benevolent ideas for the people of the Republic. I intend to serve the Republic as best I can, help it grow and thrive. If a little knowledge of The Dark Side is required then surely I mist know it.. so that we all may know how to combat against it.” Though of course he knew far more about the Dark Side than a little and he of course had no intent of combating it, his only goal was to see it grow.

His smirk widened, with every word he said she was inching that bit closer to him, he had her hooked now, of that he was certain. “Of course you may young Jedi. What is it you wish to ask?”

Xayah held her breath almost as she listened to him, even as he confessed what he had initially thought the brunette couldn’t help the smile creep over her lips. “Unfortunately Senator I would love to tell you the secret in question, if there had been one to tell. I’m as the modern era calls it a virgin.” The girl explained her honesty as true as it could be. The girl’s eyes narrowed with curiosity and intrigue as the man before her elaborated on his dealings with the dark side, and admittedly the girl fell silent with his explanation.  “I agree that you should explore all sides in order to make the republic great again sir, but please be careful. Not all are as understanding as I.” Xayah confessed with a simple gesture towards Anakin, his back turned but an ear was clearly upon them. With a gentle sigh the brunette couldn’t help the smile, she yearned to know more about him. Desperate even, which was so unlike her. “Do you have a wife Senator? Or children?” harmful questions she hoped her cheeks instinctively flushing a tender pink.
