Alanah Pearce's Virtual Reality Mishap
lanah Pearce was never one to back away from checking out a video game, no matter how weird or unknown it was. The Australian game journalist and streamer had always been interested in everything gaming related and tonight was no exception.
Having been streaming to her fans for a few hours now, Alanah was taking viewer requests for what games for her to play next. As dozens of the same four to five game requests came flooding through her chat, one response, A twenty dollar donation with a typed message, gave her quite the interest. The message itself was simple, reading, “c’mon, stop being lazy and pick a really good one.” Alanah mocked the message, noting that the troll spent 20 dollars just to get permabanned. Right before she was able to ban him, a second donation came through, this time now 50 dollars and saying, “Bet you won’t play my game.” Shocked at the increase in money, Alanah egged on the unknown donor, addressing him and the rest of her viewers saying that she would play his game in full if he sent one more donation of an even larger amount. Feeling content as maybe this unknown troll would go away now, she was stunned to see the amount of a five hundred dollar donation hit her screen with the simple message, “Enjoy, I made it special just for you ;)” followed by a download link. Mouth agape and feeling that her pride was on the line, Alanah quickly shook her head and clicked the link, downloading this mysterious game.
Once it finally finished installing, she opened the file to see just a lonely EXE file. Worried it might be a virus, the large donation amount made her second guess her instinct and she slowly opened it. As the game started, a screen popped up requiring a VR headset before going any further. Scoffing to herself, she quickly grabbed the one she owned and made space to move around before strapping the headset on. As the game faded in, she was met with a digital character that despite being in a cartoonish style, resembled her. Same light hair, dark eyes, and slightly tanned skin however, her body was quite different. It was large and flabby, with the character nearly being as wide as it was tall. Alongside this, stains of grease and old food were all over the characters' undersized clothing and blubbery body. As Alanah stood confused at this image, the words, “Play?” appeared below the character. Being used to games, she absentmindedly clicked the start button and the game faded to a soft light blue. Waiting for something to happen, she suddenly felt strange…
Suddenly, she began to feel extremely tired and lethargic. Sweat began to drip down her head and a strong odor filled the now hot room. As she attempted to make commentary about the apparent end of the game, she noticed her speech was deeper than normal, with it also being slightly slurred, as if it was difficult for her mouth to open. Becoming nervous, Alanah reached up to take the headset off and noticed how difficult it was, almost as if something was blocking her arms from moving as easily and something had made her face swell up. Once she finally was able to rip the head set off, she was met with quite the shocking sight.
Her body, once thin as a board, was now a blubbery mess, not too different from the one that was in the game not too long ago. A noxious gas ruptured from her fat ass, which was now quite large. Confused, she looked towards where her computer was and was stunned to see only a pile of greasy fast food bags in its place. Crying and scared, she sobbed out in fear to her chat, which had seemingly disappeared in an instant. It seems that inconspicuous game that had been sent in may have altered reality for poor Ms. Pearce, turning her from a famous streamer into a fat slob. Guess that will teach her not to go messing with unknown computer software anytime soon…
