The world i told you (🫵) about has a rich (not yet but it will get there) history of magic and science combining.
Magic doesn't "truly" exist, they tried to understand it but it was too complicated to work out, there have been too many casualty in the research to justify the end result. In the end they discovered 5 different kinds of "magic":
Production, Evanescence, Alteration, Restoration, Transportation.
Every one is based on a different interaction with space-time:
All this magic is based on modifying space-time matter (STM). Every one of this actions has a different result but all of them use a similar methods to do different things. Between the discovery of the STM and its manipulation, many wars have been fought. But this is a story from another day.
All the magic is done by simple 4th dimensional organobots (produced by "A.g.g."; the specific model is the Nano version), this technology has been present for quite a while now and it's use is now mundane, mostly cosmetics. These organobots come in various size for every possible use; and its usage is strictly regulated.
To better grasp the explanation you should consider time like a slice of a higher dimension; if you want a better example you should read this novella.
Starting from the basic: evanescence is (in the broadest therms possible) making something vanish. An object simply doesn't exist anymore, it existed, you could remember it and such, it's matter isn't available anymore.
Let's take as an example this animation ↓
The ball is always present in all of its position (for example) like a weird cylinder of clay (sliced in time to be seen by us). From the frame 18 the clay is cut an put away and filling matter is put in its place (to avoid damage to nearby stuff). Where the ball is put it doesn't concern us now. And the final result is a ball that jumps away into nothing (Usually the atoms are repurposed to be filling matter).
Transportation is a more refined version of Evanescence.
This time we care where the remaining clay cylinder goes, usually at it's destination.
Legally, if you use this kind of magic or evanescence, you should disclose the whereabouts of its reappearance, even if it is a private void box.
The ball appears in a secondary location. (Returning at the clay example) Cutting the clay puts a lot of stress on the atomic structure of the object, sometime changing its structure, usually it's not done to people (they tried, the organobots will not touch organic matter).
The location of the appearance should be flagged as such and provide beforehand the information of the object and its applied force. If you intend on using this, please consult the guide for light indication signal in your jurisdiction or domain.

Production is a chaotic and dangerous process.
It involves changing atomic bonds without splitting any atoms, it's usually done in special controlled environments like void boxes. It takes time and precision do find electrons, particles and such. Filling matter is used to achieve this result.
Void boxes are not necessary to make something appear but are strongly suggested. During production, atomic movements could disrupt the process and wreak havoc. To create a 10 cm side, solid cube it can take 5 to 10 minutes depending on the material. A wrist watch can take up to a day. Getting back at the clay cylinder is like picking pieces from other cylinders, building your own.
I don't think i need to say it but producing anythings require a schematic of the desired object.
Restoration works a lot like Production, but the organobots prepare the schematics for reconstruction based on what that object looked like.
The creation of the schematic can be done preemptively to save a lot of time.
The main difference between the two is that the object is solid throughout the process and can safely be interacted with.
Visually it looks like the object is turning back time. Practically the matter is being rearranged progressively as it was seconds ago, every second.
Alteration is the least popular between the bunch.
Like restoration it changes position and structure of the atoms but without schematics can be a long and difficult process.
Schematics can be purchased net-wise. The input object needs to have at least the same quantity of matter of the output object for this process to work; excess matter can be produced as filling.
Enlarging and reducing size is very easy and fast since the structure doesn't change, you need only filling matter.
These are the basic interaction with the STM, anything not on this note requires a permit and a safe space. The little organobots cannot be made to change the time flow, because the organic matter required to make it operational binds them to time.
You can purchase your un-programmed organobots for a year worth of salary. Until they are programmed you cannot do anything with them.
You can also find them with pre-installed software to do a specific task, this is very popular nowadays.
