Midwest West Midlands returns! UK emo’s favourite tongue-twister/all-dayer returns to the Wagon and Horses in Birmingham with 21 bands over 2 stages. The holy triumvirate of the West Midlands DIY scene (Birmingjams, Wolf Town DIY and NANA DIY) have left their sizable egos at the door and teamed up to bring you a mixed bill of bands from all over the country, all in benefit of Food Not Bombs. Good food and cakes will be served and fun will be had. couple of pics i got from midwest west midlands this weekend, taken on andy’s iphone. from beginning to end: outside stage; ”break michigan”, or chris playing lake michigan songs during the mid-day break; cast ashore; wade and their collection of backpacks, plaids lads, darth sanders from pipedream; wax futures bringing the day to an end. such a good day, saw so many good bands and met so many lovely people. we couldn’t be happier with how things went and we’re all a bit sad today that it’s over. til next year?
