Q: What is your feeling when you decided to accept this project? TOP: Web drama is slowly developing in Korea market. I find it very interesting to have the opportunity to involve in web drama when it just start expanding. Though I always comes to Japan because of world tour but I never had any project here or work with any Japanese actor. So I always want to try it. I feel very happy to be able to work with Japan most favourite actress Ueno Juri. This drama is about a Japanese girl who is living in Korea & a Korean guy who is living in Japan. They never meet before. They go deepen exchanges gradually and soon become a presence to heal the wounds of each other’s heart. Ueno Juri use Japanese, I use Korean. How’s going to match? I’m very curious. Despite of language barrier, we have to do reaction. It’s a new experience.

Q: The impression of each other during the real shooting. Juri: Two strangers were passing by each other was the first shooting scene. TOP-san was wearing mod coats with camera. Speaking of BIGBANG TOP, his image must be the person who is sparkling, right? (laugh). But seeing him has such a low profile, sitting quietly at the shooting site, I was thought “ahh he’s indeed Woohyun”

TOP: When I first see Ueno Juri, she was playing mime. My first impression was she’s very pretty. During shooting, I realized that she’s very delicated & sensitive in a good way. She’s very feminine & affectionate actress.

Juri: keep praising me (laugh). I remember there’s a scene of imaginary dating. Two people who were at Japan & Korea in a splitted scene, like they were next to each other. Even the scene is just two people walking around at some places but TOP is aware of some popular korean’s gag or youngster daily joke. He will make it carefully & fix finely into the acting. Although shooting time is tight but he will not compromise.

Q: Although the shooting period was short, was there any impressive scene? TOP: I am very fond of architecture, I love those traditional architecture in Japan and South Korea too. During the time, there was a shooting scene in an old building. I love it very much. Although I was physically exhausted because of tight schedule but I gained a good recovery when I was there. In fact, the shooting was very hectic. I can only sleep 2-3 hours in a day. Eversince I was debuted, I never had such difficult situation in the past 10 years. Therefore, I’ve been cried in a toilet where no one can see me. (wry smile)

JURI: Have you ever cried?

TOP: I wanted to sleep very much.

JURI: If you had already reached to the extent of crying, then just go to sleep (laugh). I usually sleep during lunch time. I will sleep with the curtain closed in my dressing room.

TOP: But it’s my lunch time, I want to eat well (laugh)

JURI: I had only kimbap during the interval of shooting.

Q: The possibility of falling in love with someone who never see each other face before thru mail

TOP: Woohyun in the drama has a broken heart due to his first love. He’s very lonely. I believe this character was created because they understand the emotion. I think I will be the same if I was putting in the same situation. Accidentally get the contact of a girl, start to chat about daily life & become closed friend thru LINE…… When human are lonely, I think they may be healed by comforted feelings in a casual conversation. A relationship is developed from there and start to become friend or lover. Since men are simple creature, so I think it’s likely to happen.

Q: You had been active even as a musician as well as an actor, what is your future plan? TOP: I do not have any plan (laughs) music or even to the acting, I think it’s all arranged by fate. Juri: my thought exactly (laugh)

TOP: even I have work that I wish to participate but time is not allows or it already negotiated with other actors and I couldn’t make it. I may receive offer but I may not feel interested in it. As a member of Bigbang or solo activity, so far there’s no plan or desire to do it. Our work cannot be predicted. We just follow the fate without ambition. We will face some good one or hardship but we will face it positively. We have been walked thru this and we will be the same in future.

Q: please say something for this drama. TOP: This drama isn’t just romcom drama.. Comical interaction between two of them, it also has elements of terror & touching plot. It contains wide range of circumstances, I think everyone will enjoy it. Since drama “IRIS”, I decided to accept this drama for the first time after 7 years, I must play well. I wish to show everyone my good acting. Korea has many web drama but there’s no big succeed yet. I have this opportunity to work with Ueno Juri, others co-stars & director, so the urge of doing the best drama had came to my thought. The reason why I haven’t accept any drama in the past 7 years, schedule was an issue and I couldn’t encounter a good script. The viewing channel is LINE TV which is easily accessed by everyone. I think I was keep waiting for this project. I hope audiences would relax & enjoy it without any pressure. Personally, I give this drama a lot of expectations. I’m looking forward to everyone’s reaction. Please do love this drama a lot.
