But I do think it makes sense that in order to truly maintain the legend of the incredible cautionary tale that is the entirety of the Calamity, that history would only remember the man who releases the Betrayer Gods for the sake of his own pursuit of power, and not remember the man who looked upon a Betrayer God, hurt and bleeding, saw the face of his husband, and couldn’t help but to be kind.
