Boris - 🐙 - I'm a game developer who likes engineering. I am obviously the most skilled out of everybody here, I love doing this stuff, and love carrying the teams by bringing in the 3D printed parts! ( octopyte.com )

Sensei Alex - 🐼 - I am sensei Alex, The one trying to rangle this circus into coding and engineering along with Sensei Ben also I bought the chocolate for myself, Idk why Harrison is so stuck on having it, I was hungry. Me and Sensei Ben will be the one running the account but the ninjas will be the ones creating the "amazing" posts.

Today we managed to connect a controller to our robot via bluetooth. Basically, at 1 pm 🐼 came in saying we can now use and control the robot through the use of Blue Dot which is an online controller app which can be on a phone of tablet. Very quickly, our previous scripts worked and no new version of python was needed.

Using a circle to control the robot, it could move quickly in a not-ish straight line (it is currently being fixed). Theres only one week left until the competition and only me and 💩 were here today, the video is yet to be made and not many are thought to be here next week so we have a lot of work and 3 hours to do it.

Today we got the green screen and practiced filmed the first 4 scenes.

This was our recording studio for secne 4, minus the table and add other props for other scenes. In a science classroom 🤨.

The other people updated python and got the nescessary libraries for the controller inputs.

As you can probobaly see we have worked on a new picture. That is what we - 💩,🥞,💣 - did.

🐙did the rebuilding of the robot for it had been destroyed by itself and built it inside its box.

💣did the code - as usual - and it can move. It does move foward if there is a wall ahead of it and backwards if there is not but it should be an easy fix.

Hi Today we were working on distance. Distance sensing actually. We now have traction* and not the previous slabs of ice.

*"traction" is blue tack.

Now the robot can move fowards of there is distance away and backwards if there is not so we are close to being able to do most of the projects.

For us we were putting a storm into our brains which made us think of some illyd stuff until we eventually came up with ideas for what we shall do in oure video - it is going to be very creepy.

As the day comes to an end, 💩 and 🕳️ dicuss odd things, I do this and 🐙 and 💣code because that is probably important.

Today 💣 has imported Line Reader code from github and is currently attempting to debug it. The rest of us, (🥞 and I lol) are working on connecting the physical line reader to the breadboard which has so far been a bit of a challenge as we cannot find any content with instructions for connecting a '3 pin' line reader. Hopefully by next week we should have it running though, thats all for today.

After much effort the team (of about 2 people and just me for the first hour sadly) created some progress. Basically, we worked on making the robot move. First the motors were worked on and we created code to make it move foward - simple enough. The main probolem was the turning but after some work, many variables, odd functions and weird messages we created a turning code which we then had to stop by writing a stopping script - also 💩 sat here to 'do' it but was not here at the time. 💣 did most of the work for he can actually wrote python.

I got the wiring properly done without overheating the distance sensor. We tested it and it works 🎉. I can breathe easy now.

💩 worked on the project Minesweeper where the robot would methodically search for the lit tile with a sensor while 💣built the bringer of destruction; the monstor of war:

"THE CALAMITY - PIPOCALYPSE (MK 2)"

with the parts of which 🐙had brought from his occasionally broken 3D printer. This is again visible in the picture.

💣 also worked on some distance-sensor code which I,🥞, just heard 🐙say "Its not working. Why is it not working!" about it (I have no idea why. I'm here for the coooookies).I myself has made some code for the Lava Palava map where the two wall sensors check distance, the bobot turns away and straightens back up to go foward.

For more scrumptious points which we MUST get the most of we had to incorporate some architecture. 🕳️managed this by doing some designing - strange but usable designing. This consisted of Da Baby. I do not know what it is. I'm not really into memes, only a rare few.

That was really it, people are stoll working on the sensors and pins. It is like the torture is never going to stop. Will tne problamatic pins ever be solved? That is a probolen for next time!

I made a motor function that you can control the motors more easily

Using RPi.GPIO we can make the different motors go forward and back. We did it on python and on the raspberry pi to test it

Firstly,we looked at who as doing what, talked about a suspension system and concluded with Harrison working in the spring cannon, Jayden working with the breadboard, Boris working on the springs and finding parts and working on pathfinding in scratch and daniel coding the PI's sensors.

Harrison created a concept of a magnetic-loading spring system for the cannon to fire projectiles. He also went online looking for an appropriate spring.

Boris spent most of his time on scratch creating a two ray pathfinding prototype for the robot but also worked on much of the mechanics.

Jayden discussed and worked on connecting parts to the breadboard.

Daniel made code for the sensors in PI using NoMachine.

Finally, Harrison and Daniel discussed the controls for the controller which we shall connect with Harrison's controller adapter. We came up with the idea that you will be able to controll the movement variables with the controller.
