I always get what I want

Nathanael is still trying to figure out what kind of spell is locked into that toy. He already succeed to block it, so he won’t get affected by it but now, he has to understand it. He sighs when he hears that Flint girl. “Yes, of course, I’m playing for the sake of your precious little life. This is an object infected by dark magic. Wanna feel it, maybe?” He says as he hands out the object, dark magic was almost touchable all around it.

     “Why, thanks for such deep concern,”      She shoots back curling red lips into a      smirk. Amusement dabbles into dark      eyes at the sight of Nate’s indignation,      yet, it quickly gets followed by alertness      as repellent wave of magic hits her senses.      Extended arm hangs in the air before she      decides if she wants to touch it.      “ ----- Where did you find this?“

      “Dear Jesus! Couldn’t you have told me       that I would waste my precious time on you       before I started a twenty-minute lecture?”

     “Well, excuse me if I don’t find      breeding of domestic slugs as      particulary fascinating theme.      Oh, that was thirty minutes, actually.      You got so carried away, I thought      that interrupt such passionate speech      would be simply unfair.”

      ❝ nothing in particular, sweetheart. just trying to have a good time.       besides, it seems i’m attracted like a magnet to beautiful women. ❞

     “Hmm, and how are you managing? -- Successfully, I hope?”      Katherine asks coyly, light smile touching her lips at his last sentence.

“Nope. My sister has been hooked up but they don’t like me as much as her so getting me with someone isn’t as important. Why on earth are the Potters even an option?  They’re not pure.”

     “And which family are they aming for, exactly?      ----- Well, not all of them may be pure, but they      surely have some other qualities that can be      valued just as much: ambition, money and not the      least important surname in wizarding world.      Besides that, who said that we choose from the      outcast part of Potter’s lineage?”

He hadn’t seen her in over a  y e a r, but with everything that had happened upon Elijah’s arrival in New Orleans, it felt as if centuries

had passed since the day when he had once again chosen  his brother over the woman he loved and left for New Orleans.

Now, Katherine was standing before him, and Elijah was u n a b l e to read her, to guess why exactly she had come all the way h e r e. Was it for him? Or was she once again running from  someone or something?

❝What are you doing in New Orleans, Katherine? I imagined you’d be somewhere far away by now, Europe perhaps. What has happened?❝

     Light smile spread across vampire’s futures      at the sight of familiar face in front of herself.      It’s been indeed a while since the last time      they’ve seen each other -- right before Elijah’s      decision to follow his brother to New Orleans.      Seeing him so confused over their meeting      amused Katherine to some extent. Yet she didn’t      plan on explaining herself right away.

     A slight tilt of her head as walks up a little closer,      attentive gaze lingering upon his figure.
