      “A--ah, are you sure?” Izumi was one who did not like hurting others if it was intentional or not, so he had wanted to take the blame and made sure that the female was alright.

          Optics widened at the creatures sudden transformation into a human body. Instead of fear overtaking his body, shock and curiosity was not installed within it. “E--eh? Ah, yeah, I mean it. I mean my friend list is basically zero, so I need all the friends I can get.”

    A disappointed hiss. Perhaps the human didn’t like him as a reptile…?

          Seeing such sharp and large teeth was unsettling to the teen, clearly believing that his chances of getting home alive were lowering with each passing second. “U--um, I’m someone who is extremely bad at making friends, but would you like to be friends!?” With fear running through his veins he was not thinking in the right mind.

          Dear lord. Izumi was sure that he was hallucinating, still he was scared for his life and did not want to approach the creature before him.

          At first, he was unsure about the other’s reaction to his words of wisdom, because her expression seemed blank to him. However, once he heard her words of gratitude he felt his heart swell with pride and joy. It looked like he saved another life. “No problem. I just wanted to let you know, because that is what has been injuring me the past few months.”

         Physical education had never been the male’s favorite school subject. From the day he was born it was destined that he would not be physically athletic like his classmates, instead he would be miles behind them, breathing heavily and sweating profusely as he tried to catch up with them. As he grew older it seem like he would be athletically challenged, despite telling his body to man up for once.

          The teen did not know what to make of the male before him, but he seemed hungry. “U--um”, he called out, gripping the cake box a bit tighter.

          An electric-like jolt shot down the male’s spine as the hairs on the back of his neck stand in an upright position. His chair scrapped harshly against the tiled floor of the library, producing an ear grating  sound, which brought the attention of those around them. “Uwaah”, he exclaimed, glancing at the side where the female sat. Unfortunately, Izumi was easily startled, which resulted in the shriek-like noise that had escaped him.

          “A-ah, no, it’s fine... I mean I’m fine. I was the one at fault.”

“Which part of you is female? From your attitude and real gender, you’re completely a man.” She held out the chocolate ball for him to taste. “I just want to hear your opinion on my chocolate truffle. How hard is that?”

          He knew that she was right, and that he could not argue against her words, no matter how crazy his rebuttal would be. Izumi was mildly scared by the taste of the treat being offered. The history between him and sweets girls had made was not the best, bringing out a fear whenever the situation occurred again.  “A--ah, right. Um... Then, thank you, for the meal”, he stated, taking a bite out of the chocolate truffle.
