Summary: Today, we follow Baby (the nearly grown Owlbear cub) on a secret mission that his Master (Astarion) has entrusted to him. With the help of his Big Brother Scratch, He'll make sure Mistress (Tav) will be safe from celery for a whole year!
Also featuring: Grammy and Grampy (Arnell and Emmeline Hallowleaf) Auntie Shads, and Uncle Halsin.
āTag, youāre it!ā Baby crowed as he bowled into Scratch.
Scratch barked out a laugh. āIt was just a trick. But we can finish the game later. We have a job to do, remember?ā
āOh, right!ā They were to destroy the patch of nasty stalks- Sellere, it was called. Which in and of itself was strange to Baby. How could you sell it? Who would buy something so yucky?
āMaster says Grammy told him they only planted it for Mistress,ā Scratch said.
āBut she hates the Selleree!ā Baby cried.
āI know, but she ate it once when Grammy made some for dinner, and even ate seconds when she offered! Mistress didnāt have the heart to tell her.
Baby nodded solemnly. That made sense at least. Grammy was the sweetest Grammy there ever was, and no one would ever want to hurt her feelings. Now he felt a little guilty.
āBut what if weāre caught, and youāre never allowed back?ā Baby asked, his little beak trembling.
Scratch put his paw over the owl bearās claw. āDonāt worry, pup. Remember what master says?ā
Baby ruffled his feathers on his head strategically and put on his best Astarion impression, mimicking a posh accent as best he could. āIf there is no evidence, there is no crime!ā
āPrecisely.ā Scratch yipped. āWeāll hop into the stream and bathe off the dirt as soon as the deed is done.ā
Big brother was so smart, just like the Master. But Baby didnāt mind, because he liked being soft and round like Mistress even better. āAlright!ā He chirped, āletās go!ā
