Last June 15, 2014, my best friend and I launched our very own Ukay Okay online shop on Facebook! Of course, as our business name is saying, we are selling used clothes, preloved tops, bottoms.. Anything that is second hand and would benefit other people in a very low price. So, why Ukay Okay? Since we are selling used clothes and other preloved items, my business partner and I brainstormed words linking to ukay ukay. Every words connected to preloved items were formulated. But one business name idea never left our mind which is Ukay Okay. Ukay Okay is derived from the word, Ukay, which comes from the word halukay, meaning digging in; and Okay, which of course means satisfactory but not exceptionally or especially good, as google says. Personally, I love this name, not because I am one of the owners of it but it really reflects what the business would like to sell -- second hand items which can really be used that can be bought in a very low price! Awhile ago, I was looking at the overall look and feel of this blog. After thorough check, I felt that Piathought lacks something. This blog has been my friend, my confidant, the absorbent of all my rants and my diary to all memorable moments in my life. So, I have to make her pretty. :)
