the thing about jealousy, though, is that it's ultimately counterproductive - it stifles my curiosity, my drive, my excitement for the future. it won't be easy, but i'll keep pushing myself to focus on those feelings and prioritize healthy ambition over misplaced discontent.

it also doesn't hurt that i just got an excellent grade on my biochem lab report – some things, like my need for academic validation, never change.

my finals are over!! my first year of graduate school finished... I didn't take any pictures during the week while studying besides this one at the library haha. also i found a professor to start research with over the summer, the first assignment is to help with a supernova Ia literature search :D
