Phineas T. Bobble || Twenty-One || Student || Demisexual || Magical
Science and Technology surrounded Bobbleâs life  due to his parents association within both fields, so it was a rather natural conclusion that he too wouldâve find an interest within both the older he gotten. And it wasnât necessarily as if his parents tried to convince Bobble to pursue either orâ on the contrary, as a child they were both quite accepting to whatever interests their son had regardless of whether it involved the crafts his parents were best at, but to say they werenât pleased by the fortunate outcome of their son gravitating towards neither a single one but rather both would be an understatement.
From a very young age, Bobble was always mesmerized by what his parents could do. It was difficult for him not to when he grew up knowing that his family was magical, both in a literal sense as magic does in fact flow through the bloodline of his family including himself but also in the technical sense as well for his parents were good at what they did both due to their own magical abilities but also because they were intellectually capable and handy to do so even without the use of their magic. It was traits in which Bobble admired and inspired to have himself.
As a child, rather than automatically playing with the toys and items he was given, Bobble tended to disassemble them first, wanting to learn how they were assembled, before tinkering and magically putting the items back together so that way in return, he could comprehend better on how it works when it is. A truly fun and enjoyable past time for him, one in which his parents had noted was done with the biggest smile on his face.
To many other kids, his quirks may have came off as odd because of course, what child wants to intentionally break their toys just to see how they work and because of that, Bobble didnât have too many friends growing up. But it never bothered him much at all because he did have one person whom he called as his best friend, and that was his neighbor, Clank. Being close in age and having their parents already friends, it was an instant click for the pair, and it helped that Bobble and Clank had many things in common while growing up. From the toys they collected, the shows they watched, and the games they played, it wasnât difficult to see how the two were best friends. But most importantly, what made Bobble and Clank click the most was that the two were magical who had the same abilities as one another.
Like Bobble, Clank too is able to magically repair things once they were broken with a little bit of tinkering. And similarly to how Bobble found what his own parents does as mesmerizing, he always loved watching Clank tinker around with stuff, always at awe with his own work as if he couldnât do the same himself. But more importantly, he loved having someone he could do these kind of stuff with, and it turns out, Bobble could find an even greater love for tinkering and inventing than he already did as he enjoyed doing so the most when he has Clank right by his sides, helping him with it.
Bobble and Clank was a pair matched made in heaven, two peas in a pod, and one who could not be seen without the other. Truly, they were practically stitched to the hips growing up that it came to a point where everyone around them at school thought the two were more than best friends. During middle school, many believed they were boyfriends, claiming that they had to be due to how they acted whenever around each other. Some even said that they could see the love within their eyes whenever one stared at the other, and at first, Bobble laughed that notion off. He would never deny the affection he felt for Clank because it was true, he loved Clank more than he has loved anyone else, but that was a clear conclusion to have since the two were practically raised together. But the more he let the idea of being something more with his best friend, the more he realized he quite liked it. After all, who better for him to date than his best friend? The same best friend whom he also knew loved and cared for him equally the same if not more so than he did. And so, without even the need for a confession, by the time high school came around, Bobble and Clank were no more than just best friends, they were boyfriends as well.
The magic of dating his best friend brought wondrous feelings for the pair. It was such a seamless change for the two, neither needed to change who they were or how their dynamic workedâ there was only additions of being more affectionate with one another such as hand holding, cuddling, and kissing. And Bobble liked the kissing part, very much so, even if being affectionate with Clank in public did garner him to be a little flustered and shy at first, but as time went on, Bobble became more and more comfortable with it to the point where heâs usually the one who initiates it.
But of course, no matter how compatible and seemingly effortless their relationship might be, Bobble and Clank werenât excluded from having hardships of their own. Normally, their conflicts includes the pair butting heads with different opinions when it comes to inventing things and from Bobbleâs fussing. The couple was prone to having arguments with one another too, but often they werenât anything serious and a second later the two would be as fine as a dandelion once again. However, there were times where Bobble wondered if being romantically together with Clank had been the right choice. Not because he wasnât happy within his relationship with him, far from it, but dating the person who was also his best friend brings not only pros but also cons. The pros being that heâs dating someone heâs already comfortable with and who knows him best both in and out. But the cons was that it meant Bobble never had the chance to date someone before Clank. As perviously mentioned, anyone the couple knew long before they began dating already assumed that they were together, so even if Bobble had an interest in someone else other than Clank, it wasnât like he couldâve pursued them for they already thought he was taken by Clank. Which by all means, Bobble was fine with because no amount of other crushes compared to what he felt for Clank, but he still couldnât help but sometimes wonder what dating someone he wasnât already close with would be like. If there was worth the experience of dating another or if dating Clank so quickly within their lives was for the best.
Bobble brought up his concerns to Clank, admittedly fearing the worst for their relationship as he wasnât asking for them to break up and date other people, but merely questioning if it was something they should try since they never gotten the chance to. Ultimately, when college rolled around they agreed to have an open mindset of dating other people which meant the pair had broken up as a couple as well yet it wasnât exactly one as the prospect of their relationship still stood. They will be together if they decided that is what they wanted to do, but neither was going to get in the way of the other if in the end, staying as best friends turns out to be the best choice for them.
During his break up period, Bobble met a girl named Tessa who had the same gift as he and Clank did. It was a marvelous meeting for him as he was ecstatic to befriend another tinker who got along with not only him but Clank too. But he also found it such a wondrous coincidence that her ability was exactly like theirâs, making him wonder if there was more meaning behind the pair meeting her. And maybe there was, but even if there wasnât, having Tessa as a friend was more than exciting for Bobble because he grew to love the fiery spark that she inhabited and it was more than fun to invent with her whenever they get the chance to.
If there was only one not so necessarily downfall to befriending Tessa, it would be her constant insistence that he and Clank should just get back together. Even in their short period of friendship, she could see how important Clank was to Bobble and vice versa, so she didnât understand why the two didnât want to stay together regardless of them informing her that they wanted to breach out of their comfort zone or at the very least, focus on their studies and inventions without their relationship getting in the way (as if it ever did but that never was the main point).
In the end, Tessa was right. While Bobble did try his hand on going in a couple of dates with other people, had even kissed another too, all it took was for him to attend a party without Clank and getting drunk there for Bobble to find himself at Clankâs doorstep, crying, and asking for to get back together. He stayed the night, and since then, theyâve been sort of together again. Once again, there wasnât any form of verbal confirmation of it but the obvious can be seen by anyone who sees them together.
Bobbleâs life doesnât only revolve around tinkering, inventing, and being with Clank. Heâs someone who generally loves learning about as much of anything if he could, but if there was one thing he wanted to learn about the most, it was magic at itâs core. As accepting to magic as he is for being so, Bobble was very much an intellectual at heart and wanted to know everything he could about the magic of the town he grew up in. He couldnât disassemble people the way he does objects to figure out what makes a person magical, and thereâs so much he could learn by studying a magical being. No, he wanted to find out more about magic and often goes to Clarionâs bookstore to read up all on all the books revolving magic. Every conclusion he found always ended at the enchanted rose and Bobble desired nothing more than to get close and study it. A rather ambitious goal for him but also a dangerous one which is why Bobble only told Clank about what he wanted to do. Clank agreed it was dangerous for Bobble to sought after the enchanted rose, but what can he say? Bobbleâs curious but he by no means has any plans on doing anything bad with it. Merely study, and he isnât planning on letting anyone with ill intent to get ahold of any knowledge that he does find about the enchanted rose.
Bobbleâs is excitable and generally welcoming when it comes to meeting anyone new, but heâs also very stubborn when he wants to be and is prone to starting arguments when he strongly disagrees about something. But even then, itâs often with Clank he argues with because theyâre like a married couple in that sense, whereas with others, it may take more for Bobble to want and argue.
That being said, Bobble may be the one who calls Clank names and fusses at him, but he would rather much stay being the one who does that to him because everyone knows that even when Bobble acts angry or annoyed at Clank, heâs not actually being angry and annoyed. He could never stay like that for too long and in all their years together, Bobble could name but a handful of fights they had that had been severe.
Not once did he felt the need to question his sexuality due to always knowing that the one person he wanted to be with was Clank. It didnât matter whether Clank was a male, female, or non-cis binding defending person, it felt right being with him and Bobble just knows that he wouldâve fallen for Clank either way. That being said, he supposed if he had to classify his sexuality, it would fall along the lines of being both demiromantic and demisexual. Every crush heâs had in the past always consisted of him being close enough to the person to find an attraction for them.
Boy is near sighted and at times would be found squinting his eyes at you if he wasnât wearing his contacts and most definitely is the type to speak to you up close and personal because of it.
For as smart as he is with his inventing and constant desire for seeking knowledge, Bobbleâs known for causing accidents, especially with his inventions. His inventions would always work because his ability allows him to fix anything, but just because they work doesnât mean that what he creates always end up working well and so accidents would happen. More so if Bobble hadnât been paying close attention to what is happening or if he miscalculate something.
Did I mention that Bobbleâs also clumsy? Because he is, and would 7 times out of 10 be tripping on his own feet for no other reason than tripping on air.
Which in return, makes it ironic that Bobbleâs also quite good at dancing. Really good at it in fact, itâs somewhat of a natural talent that he doesnât often display, but when he does, the boy can move.
Prefers to speak rather formally to others when he first meets them, calling them by Mr/Mrs/Miss follow by their last name. The only person heâs never done that with is Clank, but then again thatâs what the various nicknames for him are for. Clanky being the most used.
Favorite season of the year is spring, literally, he loves every single thing about it and becomes like a literal flower child sporting flower crowns, colorful clothing, and just enjoying his time outside in the beautiful air and scenery.
Is a macramĂŠ kind of guy and is damn good at it too!
Is always carrying some kind of tool kit on his person because you never know when thereâs a need to tinker with something or when inspiration might hit!
Heâs always creating new inventions and trying to make them come to fruition, but he needs to learn how to slow down because maybe then half his inventions doesnât go awry on him.
Can be found with some kind of cut, scrape, or bruise on him all due to the various accidents too.
