Our elections already include multiple layers of security, from voter registration verification and signature matching to ballot tracking and post-election audits. Creating a new national voter ID requirement would just be a disguised attempt to make it harder for millions of Americans to vote.

It is voter suppression, That is all.

If there is to be Voter ID, then make sure the federal government funds the states such that they can guarantee that everyone in the nation eligible to vote will get one.

OR, just register every newborn to vote, and use tax and other government program information to keep the addresses updated to keep track of those who come of age.
