Hi this is my zombie stage OC and her entire thing is that she is a SEA woman in the kpop industry. I notice SEA idols kind of have to play into orientalism in order to become more "palatable" and "consumable". Otherwise, SEA women are the pinnacle of ugliness. It's because of this that we are either hyperfeminized in an orientalist way, or we are masculinized. This is her lore:

Eden is a victim of racism in a colorist and xenophobic society. She was huge as a child actor, but her popularity faded as soon as she hit puberty. That's why she auditioned for a kpop company. Her being an ethnic woman absolutely tanks her marketability because she's automatically seen as "not pretty" by korean beauty standards just because she's a part of an "inferior race". So, her agency makes her market her ethnicity through orientalist and sexualized means. She's in a fake PR relationship with a highly successful male idol to try and boost her popularity, but at the same time bc KNetz are really toxic about public idol relationships, she becomes a victim of cyberbullying, and her fake partner is instead painted as 'the victim of a southern temptress'.

I’ve been reading PJO for a little over a decade now and it’s kind of wild how my cringy 12 y/o self didn’t ever make an oc for it, so here she is!

We used to have a home. 🏚 A simple place, but it was filled with love. Now it’s gone. What remains are memories, silence, and an overwhelming fear of what tomorrow may bring.

Each day, I wake up not knowing if we will make it through the next. My daughter should be learning to walk, to smile at strangers, to feel safe in her world — but instead, she’s learning to live in the middle of a war zone. 🕊️

I’m not writing this to ask for pity. I’m sharing our truth because silence won’t protect us. Maybe, through this message, someone will hear us — and care. 🤍
