* Jenny was already friends with Charlie Bigelow (Big Time) and was introduced to Terry through that connection. Their parents ended up meeting each other as a result of the two talking so much about each other

* The three of them were young offenders, always getting into criminal trouble with the GCPD. Big Time easily got Jenny to do things for him as she was very naive and emotionally vulnerable due to having no friends before Big Time showed up. He used to call her ‘his girl’ or ‘babe’ when they didn’t actually date or anything, but he was fully aware that Terry and Jenny already had some interest in each other

* The friendship between the three stopped initially when Jenny was caught doing petty theft under Big Time’s influence but also her own kleptomania that had been developing because of it. The three never saw each other again after that; Jenny was sent to an all girl’s school on the outskirts of Gotham

Current relationship / Reintroduction: 🐦‍🔥🦇

* Around late season 1 / early season 2 of Batman Beyond is where I imagine Jennifer being introduced initially to an audience

* Terry recognises her immediately when he sees her in one of his classes, completely unaware that she was transferring to his high school. But, instead of talking to her like a normal person, he stalks her for a while (as Batmaaaannn)

* The crush initially is like MariChat (JennyxBatman) before she finds out that it’s Terry through an accidental voice slip while he’s talking to Bruce over comms

* I wouldn’t say that Terry and Dana are broken up just for PhantomBats to be canon. In fact, I often include Dana as part of the relationship even when she isn’t my primary source of interest. #polyculeeee

Extra Facts and Headcanons: 🐦‍🔥🦇

* Both are 17 years old, and maintain the relationship into the future / end of Batman Beyond season 3

* Most of my romantic F/Os get headcanons as being agender, so Terry is no different. He uses all pronouns, but mainly he and she.

* Jennifer is a metahuman: She can go intangible (think Shadowcat from X-Men) with minor pyrokinesis when caught off guard

* They both accidentally bite each other when kissing. Terry bites harder than Jennifer.
