one of those Horizon AUs where Elisabet lives except she gets unfrozen or whatever when Aloy is a kid, ends up travelling to the Nora lands because Well Clearly Something Did Not Go Right Here, and has to lie her ass off to the Nora, especially once she learns about Aloy.

I know very little about the MCU but It is my personal HC that Nicepool doesn't have regenerative powers because Dogpool does. I HC that they're from the same world but Dogpool is the one who got sick and as such, got the procedure instead.

My take on the moment when Aang & Appa reunite after the lost days
Seems canon didnât give Lilithâs Palisman a name (I will not accept the joke name of Mike Socks, thank you) so hereâs some suggestions;
Aside from Toast (tragically not Omelette), all of the Clawthorneâs Palismen have names that are a pun. Owlbert and Hawksleyâ even Flapjack could be seen as a pun because âflapâ.
Corvelius (corvus + Cornelius; means âhornâ)
Corvwin (Corvus + Corwin; a name which means âheartâs friendâ)
Corventin (Corvus + Corentin; means âtempest/hurricaneâ)
Edgar

I used Ravenna in one fic. :)
Iâve been calling her Branwen since season one, because it means âblessed ravenâ and she seems like the type to pick an elegant name like that <3

^^^^ YES thank you, finally someone said it. And itâs also just not the kind of thing I could ever see Lilith choosingâ even as a nickname.

Awesome!
@phoeeling Mind if I use one for my fics?
Not at all, Iâd love to see that. <3
@phoeeling Thank you!
I like 2 and 5 the mist and canât decide which to use.
Personally I'd go with trying to figure out a name for "Mike Socks" to be short for (I think it was specified that it would be the name of some historical figure shortened to "Mike Socks", but I'm not 100% certain), but out of these options I think 'Corvwin' works the best.
no offence but Iâm p clear Iâm not going to ever work with or accept the joke name of Mike Socks; given that it is a joke name and not meant to be taken as canon. so this is not really the post to suggest that on.
Also, I think the odds of Lilith calling her Palisman Mike Socks, even as a nickname, seems out of character for her. Unless the Palisman named itself that and she had no sayâ we need to remember that Lilithâs ânicknamesâ for people are as follows:
Hootcifier. The only âofficialâ nickname Lilith has really given. Arguably more âregalâ than Hooty. I think Hooty might be the only person Lilith has actually given a nickname too.
Edalyn. The unshortened version of Edaâs name, which I only count as a nickname because I think Lilith might be the only character who calls her it
Sister. Also a ânicknameâ Lilith has given Eda.
As a general, Lilith speaks very formally. I do think if âMike Socksâ was a nickname of her Palisman, it would be one Eda used if anything.
I also just think that, thematically, it makes more sense if Lilithâs Palismanâs name follows the theme of the other Clawthorne Palismen. (-excluding Toast; the traitor)

Counter point:
She named him Mike Socks because his feathers are fluffy, smooth, and soft like the texture of her favourite pair of socks.
strongly disagree. this is Lilith weâre talking about; as in Season 1 Lilith. As in âwanted to get into the Emperorâs Coven so badly she accidentally turned her sister into an owl beastâ Lilith. Theres no way she was chill enough to name it after a pair of socks. She was still pretending to be sophisticated.
she probably had like, 16 different books propped up on her desk covering history and entomology, and probably her family tree and all of their Palismenâs names. she poured over those for WEEKS. I have no doubt.

you know when I was making that analysis on ursa I forgot that she actually did give Azula a gift in canon! i couldnât find any screenshots, so I had to recreate it with art.

honestly I think Amity would feel a little hypocritical if she held such a major grudge against Hunter, bc sharing a voice actress does not make Amity into Katara.
Katara was a fundamentally good person from the start bc she had the means and the opportunity, and she was never afraid of anything as long as she had hope. Katara never did anything remotely similar to Zukoâs actions, let alone betrayed someone willing to give them a chance, so she had the right to make that speech to Zuko. Especially bc Zuko kinda helped his sister kill Aang and sent an assassin after them.
yes, Hunter threatened Luz and made Amity give up the key, but Amity was in a similar situation before. she let her âfriendsâ bully Willow for years, and bullied Willow herself in their shared debut episode, because she was scared of her parents and failure. She almost had Luz dissected.
Amity is not some perfect person whoâd be in the position to judge his actions, and she knows that. Sheâs been rebuilding the scraps of her friendship with Willow, and Willow and Luz both seem to trust Hunter in some way or another. I donât think sheâd be too shy about giving him a second chance if he showed he wanted to change. I can see her being hesitant that he might hurt her friends but all it would take is for her friends to say âwell trust me on thisâ and sheâd be like âokay Iâll tryâ
even if she was suspicious of him, chances are Hunter would be more suspicious of her being nice to him.
like Amity would be frustrated with him in the way sheâs frustrated at her past self. she wonât exactly be giving a speech about how sheâll kill him if he hurts Luz.
amity has never been a perfect person and one time she literally lit Willowâs mind on fire. Willow has every reason to have trust issues but she trusts Hunter, and because of that Amity would at least try.
I think your thoughts on Amity is half right and half wrong.
We initially thought of Amity as a mean rich girl who bullies everyone, including Willow; however, as the series went on, we didn't see her as such, and after watching episodes beginning with "Lost in Language" and ending with "Understanding Willow", it all made WAY TOO MUCH sense on who she REALLY is and WHY she behaved the way she did:
Amity has a complex trauma (C-PTSD) from her upbringing; she was emotionally abused by Odalia, emotionally neglected by Alador who enables Odalia's abusive behavior, and even teased and pushed away by Emira and Edric. Because of that, Amity was raised as a miserable loner with no love or respect, and under Odalia's influence, she had been living a lie and putting on an act and façade (such as being bully to everyone, faking her desire of joining the coven which was forced upon by Odalia, associating with Boscha and her gang which was also forced upon by Odalia, etc).
Both "Lost in Language" and "Understanding Willow" made crystal clear without a shadow of a doubt that Amity was NEVER a bully she appeared to be; her selfish and harsh behavior was simply a reaction to how she was treated as a child, as well as her coping with not only her childhood trauma she had endured in years, but also her loneliness and misery as a result of Odalia forcing her to end her friendship with Willow. She never wanted to hurt Willow and was forced to do so; she was just pretending to dislike Willow and acting as a bully to protect her from Odalia and that's all. Compared with her favorite children's book character Odiban; Amity never had real friends and her friendship with Willow was forcefully cut off by Odalia, who bullied her into associating with Boscha, who was a real bully. She never considered Boscha and her gang as her real friends and never called them "her friends" at all. Odalia compelled Amity to get green hair because she wanted her children to be "color coordinated", despite the fact that Amity inherited her father Alador's hair color. All she wanted was love, respect, and a real friends who she can laugh with and grow together with, but they keep being taken away.
And here's more, Amity never wanted to join the Emperor's Coven; her seeming excitement to join it was, IN FACT, forced upon her by Odalia. Amity also hoped that if she will have to participate in something she dislikes, she might as well try to get something out of it for herself such as love and respect from her family and the others. Amity was expecting for a better future since, according to her sister Emira, the former wasn't happy in the past and it wasn't denied by Amity who was looking for a future that would make her happy, which ironically wouldn't have happened at all.
But when Luz came around (despite taking some time), Amity finally began to come out of the shell that Odalia forced her in and Amity became a better person for it.
And besides that, Amity DID deserve to be mean to Luz from the beginning, even if she wasn't ACTUALLY bullying her; she was just VERY ANGRY at her for helping Willow in cheating in school. As for King, she was only mean to him by association because he knew Luz.
Your post doesnât make a whole lot of sense in context. Your phrasing seems⌠odd. Like youâre correcting me on things I didnât even mention. Amity most certainly was a bully. Her very first appearance is her, without anyone (to her knowledge) watching, making Willow feel shitty for her failed abomination. This was not really âprotectingâ Willow so much as it was protecting Amity. Her being traumatized does not change that.
Amity deserved to be mean to Luz? What the hell does that mean? You arenât owed the pleasure of being mean to someone. If you arenât happy with someone, thatâs fair. Youâre not obligated to be niceâ being mean is a different subject.
Not being nice is like, refusing to swap pleasantries. Refusing to be polite.
Being mean is squashing the cupcake that belongs what you think is a pet, and is really an 8-year-old child. Being mean is, needlessly, posting something online you donât think someone [Luz] will ever see and insulting them. (â#humanscanbiteitâ)
Luz didnât have a scroll or a penstragram. That was mean for the sake of mean. Does that mean Amity is a bad person? No, it means sheâs 14 and traumatized. She was still a bully, and she was still mean.
Also, Amity may not have ever wanted to join the Emperorâs Covenâ but she had, at that point, convinced herself she had. Self-gaslighting, if you will. At the end of Season 1, she had still âwantedâ to join.
The point of my post was that Amity is in no place to judge Hunter, and she isnât. She isnât in any position to distrust him anymore than anyone else is, because a few months ago she was willing to dissect Luz. (And, objectively, Hunter was in a worse situation.)
The two of them are similar. They were both in bad situations and they both handled things badly and hurt others because of it.
No, no. You're absolutely wrong and your post doesnât make a whole lot of sense in context. Your phrasing is wrong and odd. You sound like as you despise Amity.
Amity DIDNT try to dissect Luz. She was just trying to force Luz into revealing she wasn't an abomination. What she wanted was to prove Willow cheated. Luz wasn't tied up or anything, if she didn't want to get stabbed all she had to do was... move out of the way.
Amity didn't burn Willow's mind on purpose, she just didn't wanted Boscha and her gang to find out about her true friendship with Willow and especially Luz.
While in Willow's mind, the real reason Amity didn't wanted to fix the memory of her friendship with Willow is that she didn't want Luz to find out, because she was afraid Luz would judge her especially without the proper context and thought she'd end up losing another real friend.
In Hooty's Moving Hassle, the "humans can bite it" and the other mean comments were actually posted by Boscha, not Amity. You can figure that out because of how Amity was acting all throughout that episode with how indifferent she was being, so it's pretty easy to guess Amity wasn't the one who was posting those. And the other one where Amity's doing the peace sign duck lips pose was just a general post. Amity took that pic, but the comments and the actual posting of the pic were all Boscha.
Like I said before, Understanding Willow proves without a shadow of a doubt that Amity was never a bully: She only and I mean ONLY acted like that because Odalia forced her to. Everything we saw early on was Amity just putting on an act she was always just pretending to not care about Willow to make sure she didn't get kicked out of Hexside, cause Odalia said she'd do it if Amity maintained her friendship with Willow or being friendly with her. The point is Amity is not and never was a bully. This episode makes it clear that Amity never wanted to hurt Willow and was just forced into it, she always loved and cared about her best friend, because like I said before she was just putting on an act to protect Willow from Odalia and that's it. That's all it ever was.
Luz DID deserve for Amity to be mean to her though she wasn't ACTUALLY bullying her, she was just VERY ANGRY at her for helping Willow cheat in school, and as for King, she was only mean to him by ASSOCIATION because he knows Luz.
Willow did learned that Amity was never a bully and was just faking it to protect her and never wanted to betray or hurt her. They had reconciled in Understanding Willow and rekindled their friendship in Wing it Like Witches.
In Follies at the Coven Day Parade, when Amity said "I'm glad we can be like this again", Willow stopped smiling, now knowing that what she and Amity had before isn't the same as it was and she feels like it won't ever be that way again, even though she'd like it to be, but they are at the very least back to being friends again. Willow does trusts and forgives Amity.
Amity never had any social life after what happened with Willow, she couldn't stand Boscha and her gang and didn't have any actual friends until Luz. Once Luz befriended her, Amity's life got a million times better and she was actually happy for the first time in literal years.
Amity never wanted to join the Emperor's Coven; her seeming excitement to join it was, IN FACT, forced upon her by Odalia.
And if you think you're gonna keep consider Amity a hypocritical bully by ignoring the part where Odalia threatened Willow's academic future if Amity maintained her friendship or be friendly with Willow, you are sadly mistaken.
I donât think youâve understood a single word Iâve said, and frankly, itâs like talking to a brick wall that takes your words and spits them back in a random order.
You are clearly an Amity Stan. I donât have a problem with Amity as a character, but I hate just about any type of character stans to begin with, becauseâ as demonstrated hereâ they are generally incapable of letting their faves have flaws.
Maybe one day you will recognize it is good for characters to have flaws, because without flaws, there is nothing to grow from.
Itâs fine to headcanon Boscha posted and captioned those pictures on Amityâs scroll, but from a literary standpoint you have to understand thereâs a rule in writing. Two, actually, that I think could apply: Show, donât tell and Chekhovâs Gun.
If Boscha had really been the one to post or caption those pictures, there would have to be a verbal or visible nod to this for it to be considered canon. They would have to show it. An example would be, having Boscha ask if she can caption another photo for Amity.
Amityâs distant behaviour isnât a sign she didnât write the posts, itâs just a sign she is generally unhappy.
Additionallyâ the photos are used to motivate Willow to act recklessly because Amity used to be her friend. The significance of the photos in the first place is the rift between Willow and Amity. Willow doesnât mention Boscha at all. Itâd essentially be retconning it by having it be Boscha who wrote the posts all along.
As for the âhumans can bite itâ commentâ Boscha literally wasnât present for that. That scene happens after theyâve animated the house and Luz is expressing hesitance in showing off to Amity.
And it happens directly after we see Boscha on her way to Amityâs house. (They prank Boscha with the house and Boscha screams and runs off terrified.)
Boscha couldnât have had anything to do with that. She couldnât have posted on Amityâs penstagram, and she just got threatened by what she thinks is a talking, walking house that could crush herâ bullying Luz is low on her priority list.
Also, donât write threateningly-worded messages, especially if theyâre in response to something you donât understand.
Essentially: Hunter and Amity are character parallels. The show drew that parallel for a reason. Amity was able to see herself in Hunterâs struggles. Thatâs why she extends sympathy in the first place.
But Hunter saw an opportunity to go home, and his illusions werenât shattered enough for him to accept her lifeline. Thatâs fine.
It took Amity more than once to accept Luzâs lifeline. If she didnât at least try to give Hunter a second chance after he rejected her first lifeline, she would be hypocritical by definition.
The show didnât do that, thankfully, because they didnât want to make Amity a hypocriteâ nor did they have the time for that drama.
also, just a p.s: TVTropes classifies Amity squashing Kingâs cupcake as Evil is Petty, in which âtaking candy from a babyâ falls under. In which a character who is a antagonist, minor or major, does some things solely for the sake of being a dick. That was absolutely Amity lashing out, and since King did nothing to deserve it, it was bullying.
You seem like someone who would argue with calling Amity an antagonist, so hereâs the definition: âThe principal character in opposition to the protagonist or hero of a narrative or dramaâ
Amity 100% starts out opposing Luz & Co, much like Lilith, and therefore is an antagonist. Though she later joins the main cast and gets redeemed.
honestly I think Amity would feel a little hypocritical if she held such a major grudge against Hunter, bc sharing a voice actress does not make Amity into Katara.
Katara was a fundamentally good person from the start bc she had the means and the opportunity, and she was never afraid of anything as long as she had hope.
