You really need to get back on the wagon. wow yes things have changed a lot but some good some bad. it's a lot different then the 80's.

It was more my brothers thing. I watched because of him. I wasn't even a blimp in the universe when the 80s was a thing so I don't have any idea what it was like then.

It's the cool thing to do nowadays, I guess. And you know me, I live to try staying relevant with folks like yourself. I feel like I'm always writing little bits of songs here and there, but we haven't had plans to do much studio stuff, it's mostly releasing and promoting stuff we've already recorded, you know? Doing any more than that whilst touring would be too much. Luckily our schedule isn't as crazy as some people's, and we've got a few days of breaks here and there for us to nap.

Folks like myself? Got me all kinds of confused with what you mean there, bud. I couldn't really write much on tour, either. It's like trying to split your brain between remembering what songs you've already put out and the new ones. Are you a pro at the whole napping thing now?

I think we all have a pair of nostalgia goggles on when it comes to the first two. I don't mind leaning into the cheesiness a little, that's part of Camp Rock's charm, isn't it? It was never trying to be anything other than a fun, feel-good movie. Seeing how excited everyone is has been one of the best parts of announcing it. None of us expected these films to mean so much to people all these years later, so getting the chance to revisit that world feels really special. If it makes people feel like they're teens again for a couple of hours, then I think we've done our job, yeah?

Definitely. I feel like I'm going to have to rewatch the first two to remember things completely. I think that you're going to have a lot of streams coming up with those movies. People are going to watch them with their kids and that makes me feel somewhat old.

we can absolutely blame it on that because it's valid and also thank god for it because we needed new music from you like yesterday. thank you! i miss tour so much and those outfits, oh my god. i'd be lying if i said i didn't keep one or two.. maybe.

Sorry that I had a few years off - it was much needed after crazy years. I'm hoping that people like what I've been putting together. I'm really proud of everything that I've done with it. You kept a couple? I love to hear it.

in all honesty, i have a fantastic agent who knows her shit and is exceptionally good at knowing the type of roles i gravitate to. but what tends to draw me to projects like thrones or interview is how much i love finding humanity in an otherwise dark world and in characters that aren't necessarily "good". which i think is so inherently fascinating as an actor to be able to dive into and explore. plus dragons and vampires are cool. what’s your favourite fantasy series?

It's good that she knows what you like and to put you forward for things. Getting to explore different sides of humanity without being that person who does it for real life must be interesting. Maybe I'll get into acting properly some day. I have a few of them - Percy Jackson, and the Throne of Glass series are top of the list. One from my childhood and then one I read when I was older.

That's awfully kind of you though to make a point of saying such even after the day. I appreciate that love. How could I say no to that? Think that's the most romantic offer I have received lately. Do I get to pick the place? Can I order what the Americans call a surf and turf?

The most romantic offer? People are seriously slacking then. You should be getting all of the offers. And of course - it'd be your celebration. How could you not pick the place? I'm pretty sure those are the rules.... although what do Australians call surf 'n' turf?

I would love nothing more than to take on a purely romance film, like a good old fashioned chick flick. Think cause I havent and I have my thoughts on what makes a good one. Like it be it's own different challenge you know?

A romantic film would be fun. Would you want to do something like 50 first dates or more love actually? And yeah... those are the first romance films that I thought of. I don't really know many romantic films if we're going to be honest.

i caught them slipping for a moment and not asking for it as much as they had been so what better time to bust it out? only complaint is a wish i agreed to do more festivals. i feel like the ones i've got lined up won't be enough to reach my true menace potential. you won't have to wait too long to see what's next though. but enough of that because we need to get to the real deal here. how're you feeling with the album coming?

So you rewarded them for behaving? Lets hope they got the message there and won't be asking about when we're going to be getting a new album from you cause I don't know if I can wait another two years. Maybe you're just going to have to be a little more of a menace at each one that you've got left. I'm excited for everyone to hear what I've been working on. As long as people don't completely hate it - I think I'll be good.

Honestly, I'm glad you're back from hiatus and blessing the world with your music again. Lost Boys is such a brilliant song, and getting Lucy and Julien in on some of the vocals was an absolute stroke of genius. By the way, was that your way of dropping a hint that a boygenius reunion might be on the cards sooner rather than later? As brilliant as all of that is, though, the best part was, and probably always will be, Maxine making her little cameo in the video. That completely stole the show for me. How is she? And how are you? Are you excited? A bit nervous about the album and the tour? Or are you just enjoying the fact that you get to do it all at your own pace this time around? Also... hi. I would love to answer that... but I don't think so. I adore them both so much and would love to pull shenanigans with them again on tour... I think we all just need to keep doing our own thing for a little bit. I've still got a whole tour to do for the album coming out. But thank you. I didn't expect you to be listening to my music. She's the star of the show, always. Gotta make sure that she earns her keep, though. She's good - being a complete menace as always but wouldn't have it any other way.
