I always assumed shiny swap Ody would look like his sister but boy was I surprised when he came out orange

Shiny Mewtwo in the TCG came out yellow in the early days, so I use the Yellow-Green as optional shiny colours for them!

So Mango is a proper yellowtwo and had his dad, Ody, also been shiny he would’ve been yellow/orange leaning aswell. I like the idea beacuse he’s purely a genetic creation by Team Rocket, his shiny genes are also tampered with. Hence why him and Mango would’ve been yellow, rather than green!

She does have a partner, but never any kits! She and Citrine, a shiny Latias, end up together! Neither want kids, nor would their shiny nature make it possible too. Shiny Lati’s are inherently infertile and shinies in general have low chances of having offspring.

Unless your Flurry and end up with quadruplets, no rest for the dumbass

As for why these two ended up together, is when I set out to shiny hunt a Mewtwo in USUM; I could NOT find a portal with Mewtwo. At all. However, I did locate a Latias and I do love them, so I thought, “oh I’ll take a break and hunt the Latias, how hard could it be?” 7596 some odd encounters alter, piss bird showed up 5 minutes before I had to be on stage for a theatre production!

I was with other nerds and we all freaked out, panicked cuz we didn’t want to go on stage, leave the DS, someone bumps it, and lose the shiny; so we cut it CLOSE to the wire trying to catch it. Citrine was caught in 2-3 premier balls with full health and only a paralyzed status condition. So I traded shiny encounter changes for an insane 2% change of catching that quickly.

This is all I think I have in me to edit right now, BUT! These are what I would rooooughly have in mind for shiny swaps ;]

I don’t think I have a proper drawing of just Citrine and Deca… Deca is a case for another day, as for Kasumi, he doesn’t change much. I also realized I don’t really have a full independent drawing of him either XD

Mango would also look probably exactly like Ody’s normal colours, I’m just lazy and don’t wanna do him rn lol

Her grandkits she never meets are Mango and “Crooked Tail”m crooked tail never got a name, but these two are Ody’s future kids. Mango is born directly after Meau passes away, as only one ancient mew can exist in the world at a time; and it cannot exits without one for long. Crooked tail is born a good while after Mango, and as the name implies, has a kinked up tail! Meau never meets them because she’s been long dead by the time crooked tail is born.
