Phillip made a note of not going to anything too public outside of his part time job after the festival. He was beyond traumatized with what happened to Orion and if it happened to anyone else he loved, he sure as fuck wasnât going to be there for it. Phillip has been enjoying his time away, only around for important OShea mattersâas he felt he should be. He did his work and trained who he needed to. But someone had been on his mindâZoe. She was such a sweet girl and deserved the world in his eyes, she was essentially like a daughter to him.
Hearing his door caught him off guard, seeing as he was peacefully making bread and chicken soup in his kitchen. He dusted his hands off on his apron and walked to the door, Rufus barely lifting his sleepy little head this time. Opening the door, he couldnât help but smile. âZoe, please. Come in. Wine is welcome.â
She could see that Phillip was surprised and really she should have called before coming over. That much she knew now but she hadnât been thinking at the time. Thankfully he didnât seem overly busyâ or at least not busy enough to kick her out. Smiling she stepped into his apartment, âYeah I thought it would be. It smells good in hereâ oh God am I interrupting something?â The last thing she ever wanted was to be an imposition and Zoe could find another way to spend her night if she had to.
âNo! No, not at all, love.â He shook his head and led her inside. âPlease, come in. Take off your jacket and relax a while.âHe led her into the kitchen and started to wash his hands. âIâm actually just about to finish up making dinner. Youâre welcome to join me if youâre hungry, but I wonât push you.â He shrugged, drying off his hands before grabbing his oven mitt and took out the bread from the oven.âWould you...like anything?â
