I had a strange dream. Well. Actually I had a bunch of strange dreams. But this one stood out, despite my retelling going to sound incredibly mundane.
I was at a museum, and this museum does exist and I've been there once before AND I've been thinking about going again yesterday. So, I am aware that it makes sense for my subconscious to bring it up. Last time I visited I missed an entire exhibition because the layout of the museum just doesn't make any fucking sense. And I do get around train stations easily, so I generally know how to find my way around. In my dream I was again confused. I had seen one part of the exhibition and was unsure how to go from there. When I finally found the next room, I realized I never got a wristband. In this museum there are exhibitions that you need to pay extra for, which is indicated by different colored wristbands. And I got annoyed, because I had issues with getting into the museum and I talked with the guy at the ticket booth for so long that it really pissed me off that he forgot about the wristband. Luckily the security lady was kind enough to let me in after showing her my ticket receipt. But in the room I was promptly stopped by a museum security guy who handed me a scroll of some sorts and said "Please give this to Kai". And I was still so annoyed with the wristband thing, cause obviously shit like this has to happen to me. It always does. I took the scroll before I was like. "Wait a minute. I don't work here? I'm not supposed to deliver anything to anyone." But the guy didn't budge. He basically told me to just deliver this real quick and then I could go back through the museum.
Sidenote: Last time I was there, there were a few paintings that were replaced with small frames saying "Painting rented out to a partner exhibition in... until...". In my dream however, as soon as I entered that part of the museum. There were no paintings at all. There were white walls and all the "paintings" were just drawn on with sharpie?! Starting to wonder if that's why I wasn't supposed to continue just now....
Anyway I go back to figure out whoever this Kai guy is. Thinking there'll just be some guy seeing me with the scroll and just waving me over. Easy. But nah. I make my way all the way back to the entry hall. Look into a few open staff doors until I see the ticket booth guy in an office. I roll my eyes, not this guy again. But I'm so done so I'm like "I'm supposed to deliver this to Kai, but I don't know who that is." "You know who Kai is." he says. And I'm suddenly hit with a heavy heavy feeling. An unbearable weight that's literally like pushing me to the ground. And I get so sad. Unbearable sad. Breaking the dream wall sad. Ticket booth guy comes over from behind his desk to hug me. And I don't let go. I'm holding on for dear life. Fully aware that this is incredibly awkward. I don't know this guy. The last thing I remember is saying some stuff about just wanting to continue my museum visit. Don't remember anything beyond that.
Strange thing is. I had a dream about being in a rebellion against demons with a guy who had ultra healing powers. But we were losing the fight anyways. And that dream went on for way longer. And I had multiple near death experiences. But somehow that's not the dream that stuck with me. It's that weird feeling I got after I was told that I knew who Kai was.
I don't. Who the fuck is Kai?!
