Every time the doctor found himself against the chaos powered version of his blue nemesis defeat befell him shortly after. To say that seeing that distinctive yellow form was something he would rather avoid at all costs wouldn’t be an understatement.

Still, there’s undeniable potential in such unbridled chaos and Eggman would be lying if he said he hasn’t been scheming for a way to harness it for his own nefarious gain.

What’s the worse that could happen? Fleetway ate an entire bathbomb for crying out loud

The plan is simple, distract the super powered probably deadly hedgehog until his badniks can cage him in, write down whatever useful data can be gained, ???, profit. And if things don’t go as planned make a glorious tactical retreat in the egg mobile. Ho ho, Delightfully devilish Eggman.

Ruby signatures were popping up all over the place- zipping back and forth between the different locations with absolute reckless abandon, and without any sort of pattern- aside from that they were all closely centering on one specific position.

The bridge. Where Eggman currently was.

Phantom materializes within the bridge after a few more jumps to different locations- tossing the head of an egg pawn up and down in her hand like a glorified frisbee.

ᚋᚋᚔད◇ཌᚔᚍ᚜ “ Man, you’re really KILLING it with these defenses, huh, Doc ? “

“ It took MORE than just breathing on your little toys to break them this time ! “

Eggman desperately eyed every monitor and sensor at his reach, trying to make heads or tails or what could possibly be making such a fast paced assault at his defenses. He had ruled Sonic and friends out of being the culprits due to the nature of the attack. Besides, he saw no randomness in the pattern but instead the attempt of someone trying to make a well announced entrance only he would recognize.

It was the reading of a sensor that cleared all doubts and made the Doctor genuinely concerned for the identity of this intruder. The energy levels indicated the culprit was wielding a very troublesome item, one which Eggman had hoped to part ways forever.

Regardless of the wielder, the Phantom Ruby has brought him nothing but trouble.

“YOU!!!!!”

“How DARE you waltz into my airship unannounced and cause such a ruckus?! If you came to criticize my work then I’ll have you known I would’ve thrown a proper welcoming party if I knew that cursed RUBY was involved. STATE your business ‘Phantom’!”
