Scourge could piece together what the striped hedgehog had meant after giving it a second (he thinks so, anyway), but the fact that Shadow had whipped the word out so swiftly had left him momentarily stumped. Wasn’t the hedgehog almost like a kid? He had to be younger than eighteen, for sure, probably just in his mid-teens, at that -- or, well, he assumes so. He knows the whole being frozen in a pod by some shitty corrupted government agency for fifty years threw some kind of complication in the mix, but by Scourge’s opinion, this was definitely a kid.

While she’d serve anyone else the age-old “don’t jump from a bridge just because your friend does it” phrase, the company will be… appreciated, actually. So, y’know, he can suffer a little. As a treat.

      Come on, it’s a bad decision! That’s guaranteed to be fun or at least interesting, if you ask him -- why would he sit out on it? The bonus is, of course, that it includes her, but whoa we don’t talk about that, yet! If she was going to really stay up to do something like chores, though... Well, even if he doesn’t join in, or even just does the bare minimum -- so long as the company is appreciated, he’ll be sure to stay up and stick around. Oh boy, a treat? You promise?
