Snickers

I’m heartbroken and distraught. I can’t continue working on half my creative projects with any good faith. I had a fic planned. I was writing out future logs for the comic. I was hanging onto this one truth for Pursuer’s character, and it was just pulled out from under me just to spite the community.

I still love it of course, and I don’t plan on dropping it at least for awhile. But it’s hard to want to make anything for it when I feel like there’s so much negativity and misinformation around it. I can’t help but feel guilty about it even when I know in truth and canon that the ship isn’t remotely bad. I feel like I can’t express and explain how inoffensive the ship is without it looking like I’m just coping or making up excuses as a sign of a guilty conscience. I guess it’s a bad case of a fandom misinterpreting the source material, but when the entire community is braindead, it doesn’t make me want to interact with it.

Every time I announce some sort of project to the public, my motivation coincidentally and frustratingly evaporates. So I’m going to avoid saying any plans in the event I do end up forgetting about it. I’ve promised enough stuff on this blog as is.
