I just tried to remember exactly what year and when in that year I started watching Phil. I closed my eyes and saw flashes of Michael Aranda on YouTube, Preston walking out of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, the Midnight Beast parody of Kesha’s song, The Hoosiers (who remembers The Hoosiers???). Anyway, looked up all those videos on YT and they’re all towards the end of 2009. Anyone who lived through that great year in the UK below are the hits of nostalgias in links. Anyone who didn’t, feel free to feel the vibe of 2009. Emo black was being splattered with the neon colours of Scene. Camden, having been the centre of anyone cool in London’s world, was a shell after the fire of the year before. The Arctic Monkeys and Muse were played every second on the radio, and The Mighty Boosh were the biggest thing on the comedy circuit. Good. Fucking. Times. 

Phil forgetting how old Dan is is literally one of the funniest things ever, because the first time Phil asks “are you?” Dan just assumes he’s joking and keeps going on w/ his story until Phil says “you’re not 27” and his facial expression when he realizes that Phil is actually serious is GOLD
