Two weeks until we’ll probably find out once and for all if Car Share is really over, or if Peter has been playing us like banjos. I’m fully expecting him to say we haven’t seen the last of John and Kayleigh yet. 😬🤞🏻 #BanjoGate

There’s a lot of evidence to suggest unaired footage is being held back so I’m pretty positive! Although I don’t know whether to expect a full length episode or a special, but anything that means John and Kayleigh get their happy ending will be enough for me. 😊

It’s just baffling that the Christmas team has been built up so much and we haven’t seen it… yet. There are three main things that stand out to me and make it clear that we haven’t seen everything yet: The parcel scene, the scene of Kayleigh walking around the corner looking really sad that was IN THE TRAILER and was never shown, and the lack of a S2 DVD. @peterkayscarshare covered all this in detail and I read through it at least once a week. 😂

Exactly! Since the very first episode it’s always been about the Christmas team😦 yeah I saw all the posts too! It looks positive😬 we can only hope can’t we 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hopping on this post to quickly say I fully agree with all the above, and the Christmas team hype is the cherry on the cake for me. Doesn’t make sense to build it up only to never actually do an episode based around it. We haven’t seen the last, I’m 99.9% sure.

Peter Kay said there wasn’t going to be a Christmas special or a 3rd series. He never said series 2 was finished there has been no release date for series 2 on DVD either surely he would want to release the DVD before people had a chance to forget about it spot get the most sales. That is unless there was more to come before the DVD comes out?? Just saying

Completely agree with you about ‘he never said series 2 was finished’. I fully believe he’s holding footage back and being very careful with his words when doing interviews. The DVD thing is one of the main things convincing me there’s more to come. Usually after a series has ended, there’s an advert for the DVD pre order straight after the final episode.

And I’m also pretty sure ( from what I can remember😂) that after episode 6 of series 1, the DVD was ready and now for series 2, we haven’t heard a thing🤔

For such an experienced person in the industry with the biggest hit show on the BBC in years, it’s so completely bizarre that the DVD isn’t out for pre-order this far after the series “ending” with still no announcement of it in sight, and yet he’s sorted and announced a Q&A? Priorities. It’s fishier than Stink Ray, I’m telling you right now.

Yep, the S1 DVD was available for pre order straight after 1x06 had aired on BBC1. I pre ordered it and it came a few months later.

If they finished S2 near/at Christmas / did a Christmas special, it would be a huge score for ratings and sales would boom because of the festive period. Just a thought…
