why is comedy masculine why are funny males rewarded why are funny females reduced to two dimensional desexualized characters that are used as props and not treated fully as humans???

I think about this a lot because funny guys, like not even on a big scale I’m just talking about funny guy friends or funny guys in high school, are rewarded and aren’t defined by their funniness. Their funniness makes them attractive. “Fat” or “ugly” men need only to crack a joke and bam theyre “ugliness” is negated. But funny girls???? Nope. They’re reduced to two dimensional characters. Their funniness MAKES them unattractive. It desexualizes them. If you’re a funny fat girl???? You’re further labeled as the designated ugly fat friend. You’re seen as purely a source of entertainment and nothing else. You aren’t fully a girl, but you aren’t a boy. You’re just a being who’s purpose is to make someone else laugh and after that you’re no longer needed. If you’re a funny girl that is literally all you are to everyone else, and sometimes even that is thought of pejoratively
