ahhh sorry about the inactivity here, guys! i really don’t have much of an excuse -- i’ve just been feeling pretty unmotivated to write in general whoops. BUT, i am going to give myself another week for a break and then i’m gonna be back!! thanks for the patience, everyone. y’all are wonderful and i hope u all have good days.

      THERE’S A SNORT at his assessment -- although, her derision is clearly not aimed at ellion, nor even as his words. ❛  well, i expect it might have been for a load of men who apparently had NOTHING BETTER TO DO than to sit around thinking all day.  ❜  she’s JOKING, in her own way. dry wit rolls off her tongue with so much more ease than true mirth, these days. come to think of it, she can’t quite remember the last time that the OPPOSITE could have been said of her.  ❛  the rest of us are hardly so LUCKY, i imagine.  ❜ the two of them certainly weren’t. and DEEP DOWN, there was something in her that raged against the idea of meaninglessness. even in her life before the curse, she’d wanted to leave some mark on the world -- make them REMEMBER her, if only for her beauty and that of the PALACE. now, she wanted nothing more than to know the purpose for all of her suffering. not that she expected one, of course.
