the subtle horror of the campfire song literally makes me want to scream. luke leading the entire camp in a song about hating the gods, ending it with the idea he will be there for them when the gods aren't?? it's so good i will never shut up about it

I think at this point we simply must accept the truth, which is that no Percy Jackson adaptation or sequel will better understand the assignment than The Lightning Thief musical. solidly 70 percent of the plot happens in one (1) song and the entire rest of the musical is dedicated to The Themes and The Characters and The Relationships and, of course, The Cycles. plus it fucking slaps. 20/10, no notes, perfect understanding and interpretation of the source material

I honestly think that “the gods are real, and they have kids, and those kids have ISSUES” is still the best description of the Riordanverse I’ve heard to-date.

People complaining about the lack of explicitness of the skip sex scenes are disrespecting the agency of the actors. Everyone has talked extensively about working with an intimacy coordinator and making sure everyone was comfortable and felt safe as possible, and this was the level of comfort that Francois and Robbie had with nudity and sexual scenes.

I don't care what anyone says this episode was so fucking good and Scott and Kip are both sunshines who deserve sunshine
