A heretic is someone who opposes the accepted doctrines and customs of a religion, organization or society. So a queer heretic is someone who opposes what is considered normal for queer spaces or what is currently acceptable to LGBTQ+. And it's very anti-cancel culture, normality, society as it currently stands.

When someone says that some xenogenders are too much, that being profic makes you a predator, or that you can't have dysphoria for anything other than your gender, queer heresy says "no, you know what? Every experience is valid no matter what your opinion on them is. You don't know that person, so why are you judging them by their identity? Live and let love."

This is not a radqueer stance, but the coiner of it is radqueer-adjacent and it is closely related. You don't have to be a radqueer to be a queer heretic, but you can't be anti-radqueer to be one as it is inherently accepting of queersexualities (paraphilias) and transID.

It also takes inspiration from amatopunk and voidpunk. Basically, "what's so great about being normal? How about we take pride in our ultra-queerness instead and band together as outcasts to destroy the structures that were built to withhold and water us down?"

I’ve always found it interesting that people separate physical intimacy from every other form of attachment as though it’s somehow operating under a different set of rules. When you examine it closely it seems to follow the same patterns as everything else humans do. People leave traces of themselves behind, they exchange routines, habits, memories, pieces of their identities. Physical intimacy simply accelerates the process. Two people become familiar with each other in ways strangers aren’t, not just physically, they can learn reactions, preferences, epressions, the subtle changes in someone’s voice when they’re comfortable, the difference between a genuine smile and a fake one, the things another person only reveals when they believe they’re safe. I’ve often wondered whether intimacy is less about desire and more about access. Most people spend their lives constructing versions of themselves for public consumption, intimacy grants temporary permission to step beyond that construction, to witness things that were not intended for a wider audience. Perhaps that’s why people seek it so intensely. Not because they want to be touched (though that’s definitely a factor), maybe they wish to be known. Though I wouldn’t know, I steer clear of intimacy. This is just based on what I’ve seen.

I think attachment is one of the strangest things human beings do. At some point, often without realizing it, another person becomes incorporated into the every aspect of your life, you begin accounting for them automatically, you see something interesting and think of sending it to them, you hear good news and imagine telling them before you’ve even processed it yourself. You learn their routines, their habits, the rhythm of their days, and at some point they eventually stop feeling like a separate person entirely. I don’t think most people notice when this happens. The process is gradual enough to feel natural. Then one day that person leaves, changes, grows distant, or simply becomes unavailable, and suddenly people find themselves disoriented. Because they’ve lost the version of reality they built around them. I think that’s where co-dependency often begins. People describe it as loving someone too much, but I’m not sure that’s accurate, I think it’s closer to outsourcing parts of yourself. Your comfort, your stability, your sense of direction. Until the line between “me” and “you” becomes difficult to locate. It’s fascinating how quickly people adapt to another person’s presence. And how difficult they find it to adapt again once that presence is gone. Humans are remarkably social creatures. Perhaps more than we’d like to admit.
