// Opposite Flowery? Ahaha oh boy. Canon Flowery is an outrageously positive and annoying anime boy. His ragebaiting serves a purpose to challenge the convictions of our main characters. So I think Opposite!Flowery would start as a... calm, edgy, serious mentor figure who guides you through Flower Kingdom. He still wants to keep Asgore trapped inside the Dark World. Maybe Asgore is secretly kept prisoner inside the castle, for what Flowery thinks is his own good.

And at the end Flowery would pull the carpet out from under you, exposing his bitter, resigned, obsessive true self. He's not willing to let Asgore go. He has to fight you, violently, because there is no peaceful option. He would highlight the cruelty of the fun gang's actions: by closing the Flower Kingdom fountain, you are killing the flowers. And Flowery is not so willing to let his friends give up their lives for your sake.

their purpose was to be a demonstration of Asgore's love for Toriel for one day and nothing more, but Asgore has kept them alive for a near 20 years, how could they not love him?

This is why they are so willing to do what is essentially a suicide mission. It doesn't matter if the dark world staying up means their real selves will no longer be able to receive care and they die, they were meant to die a long time ago, they will die one day. Why not die by repaying the person who has kept them alive this whole time?

But the thing is, Asgore doesn't love them that way. He cared for them because they were a representation of the love between him and Toriel. He kept them alive not because he wanted the flowers themselves to live on, but because Asgore did not want the flowers, the representation of his and Toriel's love to die.

This is why when the dark world was made and the flowers were able to become people to give Asgore the affection that he had always given them Asgore does not reciprocate because the care and love he gave them as flowers was never actually directed towards them.

It is a very unique and fascinating take on an uneven relationship
