Everybody can have Eating Disorder. Gender, sexuality, age, skin color, etchnicy - it doesn't matter.

Not everyone who has eating disorder is skinny.

There's more eating disorders than just anorexia and bulimia, for example - binge eating disorder.

Not everyone who has eating disorder only starves themselves.

Not everyone who has eating disorder purges.

Not everyone who has eating disorder works out 24/7.

It isn't for attention.

It isn't "just a diet"

Commenting on our eating habits or body can make things worse.

Don't tell us "Just eat more/less". It doesn't help in any way.

If you want to help, you should search some info about our ED, recovery is hard for us but we really appreciate when you don't try to help us without not knowing anything.

Sometimes we really doesn't notice how skinny we look. We're never skinny enough for ourselves.

Me when my weight fluctuates up instead of down:

Your hair gets thin and limp. Noticeably. You don’t have enough nutrients to help it stay healthy.

You get so. Fucking. Cold. All the time. People don’t want to touch you, because you’re so cold. You’ll be shivering under a blanket, in a hot tub, by a fire, wherever you are.

You’ve heard that seeing food will be upsetting? You have no idea. Even if it’s nowhere near you, or on a screen, or in the hands of a stranger, you’ll resent it because you want it. Some nights you’ll start crying because you miss it so much.

Everything will become numbers. You aren’t just walking your dog anymore, you’re counting the minutes and calories you’re burning. You aren’t enjoying a warm day, you’re trying to figure out if the higher temperatures are making your heart rate go up so you burn faster.

Your social life will die. You’ll be skittish and avoid people when they have food in case they offer some. You’ll say no to parties and dates and meet-ups because you think there might be food. You’ll grow paranoid, terrified of people finding out. You’ll start to despise people who love you solely because they want to help.

You’ll hurt. That pang in your chest? It’s probably because you’re not eating. Your stomach? Say goodbye to its silence. Your butt? It’ll hurt whenever you sit down. You’ll get headaches, heart pains, even breathing will eventually become exhausting.

And eventually, you’ll die. Maybe you ate more than usual and couldn’t handle the thought of gaining, and exercised so much that your heart overexerted itself. Maybe you actually did gain, and that enough was enough to make you swallow a handful of pills. Maybe your blood pressure lowered to fatal levels, or maybe you passed out and hit your head on a table.

It all ends the same.

Don’t let the “pro ana’s” fool you, this isn’t a glamorous lifestyle. This is a deadly and painful illness.

I feel like a lot of people need to remember that before they skip their meals.

Don’t do this to yourselves, you gorgeous humans. You deserve to live. You deserve friends. You deserve love.

You have an eating disorder, but you invalidate yourself because you feel like you’re faking it since you’re not skinny enough to have a severe problem.

Feeling like a disgrace to the ana community which consists of beautiful skinny people - people you don’t belong among.

Feeling guilty for reblogging all these thinspo posts because your illness is not “real enough”.

Wondering why tf you’re ALWAYS cold when your body has plenty of fat to keep you warm.

Wondering why you feel dizzy when you skip another meal when your body l i t e r a l  l y has enough stored energy to keep you “fed” for days.

Being in love with skinny jeans and oversized hoodies but they make you look fat and skinny at the same time somehow? How is that even possible???

Having your collar bones visible, but they’re not poking out of your skin enough, not the way they do on all these thinspo pics.

Feeling disgusted and ashamed to leave your house every time you get bloated, because, from a normal semi-flat stomach, you go to an 8-month-pregnant woman with twins. 

> Drink one glass of water every hour to keep yourself full

> Drink cold water - your body will burn calories to heat it

> Chew on ice or sugar-free gum when feeling hungry

> Drink green tea and eat spicy food to raise metabolism

> Take cold showers - your body will burn calories to keep you warm

> Brush your teeth often - the mint will help stave your appetite

> Drink water when cravings hit - sometimes you’re just bored, not hungry

> Use smaller plates

> Chew food thoroughly and sip water between bites to fill your stomach faster

> Keep track of bad and safe foods

> Maintain good posture to help burn more calories

> Four 100 calories meals are better than one 400 calorie meal

> Eat slow - it takes the brain twenty minutes to register the stomach is full

> Black coffee will help curb your appetite and is only two calories a cup

> Fat-free does not equal calorie-free

> Sometimes it’s more of what goes into the food than the caloric amount

> Try to stay away from exercise when fasting - you could end up fainting because your body might not be able to keep up

> Fiber helps with digestion

> Try to keep track of your intake and outtake
