And he doesn’t mind in the slightest.

Maker, her shoulders are broad and her limbs are strong, and he traces the lines of her body with reverent fingers, pressing kisses to her lean stomach. She laughs, muscles quivering, and says his beard tickles. 

Her hip bones are very sensitive, he learns quickly. She protests his fixation upon them, though her protests turn to something else entirely when he focuses his attentions elsewhere.

Afterwards, he expects her to tell him to leave.

Instead, she drapes her legs across his and runs her fingers through the hair on his chest. “Mm,” she says, drowsy and content, “will you stay?”

“Aye, lass. I’ll stay.”

“Good.” She turns her face into his neck, mindful of her horns. “Good.”

She sleeps.
