Tumblr has been showing targeted ads for "FTM binders" off Amazon. They look like this:

A binder is a piece of medical equipment. If you use one incorrectly, or use a poorly made one, you can really fuck up your ribs. This article from the Cleveland Clinic talks about how to bind safely.

A $14 binder is guaranteed not to be safe. There's a reason reputable companies charge more- sometimes a lot more. They have to carefully design binders so they don't crush your ribs or make you sick.

A safe binder is always made of a rigid material on the front, like cotton. It gives you a more masculine chest AND it doesn't constantly crushes your ribs, like a whole-around elastic band would do.

Ask for donations if you cannot afford a good binder. If you already have those 20$ you are halfway there for one from Spectrum. Don't waste that money on something you won't be able to use for three hours straight.

Short binders work better on smaller chests and frames. Don't be afraid of long binders they look like interior shirts. Old school vibes.

If you are not from the global north and 40$ is your weekly budget or more, search for local binder stores. Look on Instagram, ask for reviews. I'm Chilean and I mostly use binders from Trans Shop Chile (only short models) and La Tienditrans (short and long models). Search for a rigid material in the front and no visible seams inside.

If we don't keep fighting, even if it's gone silent for a while, that shit's gonna go through without us even knowing. Fight tooth and nail. And if you don't think you have a voice or can't stop it in any way, yes you can. Do research on your rights, don't just get your info from Tumblr or wherever else. Go on and search on your own. Especially if it's something you've seen and you're unsure if it's true.

And don't just keep KOSA online. Tell people you know. Make them care. If they think it's a good idea, change their minds. Don't "agree to disagree."

I would like to correct a statement I made regarding the FAA and KOSA.

KOSA HAS NOT BEEN OFFICIALLY ADDED TO THE MUST PASS BILL. THERE IS ONLY A STRONG PUSH FOR IT.

In short, instead of making a bunch of tech bros surrogate parents on the internet, instead it would invest a ton of money into actually going after and investigating actual child predators, modernize the cyber tipline, and do research on prevention/ detection programs, among a few other things.

KOSA literally violates the First Amendment freedoms. If this is passed, then that means the Constitution and Bill of Rights are basically void, because Congress are ignoring them. THATS A PROBLEM
