I was in an axe throwing league for one summer —would recommend 👍

Ever wonder how Penguins can rocket up out of water onto land? They trap air under their feathers, of which they have four kinds (contour feathers, afterfeathers, plumules/down, and filoplumes). The air they trap compresses as they descend into the water and then expands when they go back up, getting released as a bunch of micro-bubbles that reduce drag.

3. The Hobbit, but I really have a bunch of favorites. My favorite, more niche, books I own are adventure gamebooks including part of the Lone Wolf series by Joe Dever. I also have yet to finish a relative’s collection of Tolkien Quest by John David Ruemmler.

4. None, there’s just too many. I did just watch TADC in theater though! It was great :)

5. Due to my recency bias in watching it: Star Trek, the original series. However, Spy x Family and Doctor Who are also lovely.

6. Favorite character can be waaay too many things 😅 Just to be a nerd, I’m going to interpret that it can be any written character including glyphs, thus my favorite character is the macron (ā <- the accent mark on top of letters that elongates their sounds). Yes, I do have my reasons for having this as my favorite accent mark. No, you probably don’t want to get me started.

”Acolytes shouldn't fight-” Well, Crane and Gogat outright ignore this rule and fight whenever they get to chance; sure, they don't throw hands as soon as they see each other (they are past this stage), but they do fight a lot. Mainly because Gogat will talk a bit too much and get angry for being interrupted and/or called out on his grandiose lies.

Most orcs lack nasal hairs to filter the air they breathe for pathogens and irritants, instead relying on more robust internal nasal passages lined with superior turbinates and mucus membranes. Consequently, when an orc gets sick, coughing up an inhuman amount of phlegm is par for the course. They're also much more prone to pollen-induced midranges, which is partially why so many orcs seem to loath flowers and springtime.

Like humans, orcs also possess a weak form of bioluminescence (biophoton emission). However, their eyes are built not only to see small amounts of light akin to cats via closely packed rod cells in their retinas, but also a larger spectrum of light, allowing them to see biophoton emission to varying degrees. This is actually one area where traditionally bred Uruks and especially goblins outperform Uruk-hai, being able to distinguish between individuals solely based on their bodies' unique bioluminescence rather than smell.

Az-Harto (Dad AU) Headcanons:

Exactly the kind of dad who only shares offhanded snippets of lore about himself once or twice a year, meaning his kids likely have an entire conspiracy wall of notes and red string puzzling his elusive past together.

Rarely ever confrontational and yet impeccably perceptive —the Olog might not literally be two-headed, but he might as well have eyes in the back of his head. He quietly keeps tabs on when and where his kids go and with who, but he’s much quicker to give permission for things if he’s told about them upfront. That being said, when he does put his foot down? There’s little his kids can say to move him which he doesn’t already know or suspect.

Despite often being aloof about his origins, he’ll get surprisingly talkative (for him at least) about two things: black speech and Mordorian folklore. Az-Harto has every intention of steering his children clear of the path he took in his young which cost him his freedom and morality, yet he still holds some sentimentality for the many tall tales he was told in his youth.
