i finally realized that my old accepting morality au made literally no sense so i decided to tweak it a bit!!

in this new version of the au, patton, instead of encompassing both morality and emotion, is just emotion. his side name would be sentimentality

instead, thomas’ morals become a facet of logan, who, in this au, is justice (which i might change later on, but anyay)

i’m not sure what to call the new version of this au. maybe just accepting sentimenality for now

💔 (based on dream warrior roman) whenever he’s unable to save the other sides from their nightmares, he feels genuinely awful, despite the fact that they don’t know about it and probably wouldn’t even blame him for it. he fails to save virgil more times than he’d like to admit.

instead of patton being a disney prince and virgil living in the real world.......

virgil lives in the fairytale world. he's the stepson and soon-to-be-successor of an evil enchantress, secretly wishing that he could live, at least for his world's standards, a normal life. he often feels like the world he lives in, with its magic and music and fantastical creatures, is just... too much for him. too dangerous. too loud. too... bright.

patton lives in the real world. he works several jobs to keep himself afloat. along with that, he does regular volunteer work at an orphanage. since he doesn't have any kids of his own, being somewhat of a father figure to so many kids is one of his only joys... but it doesn't pay the bills. constantly overworked and criminally underpaid, he always feels like he's fighting for any scrap of happiness.

imagine though. music-only people who make a living singing in parks, plazas, and other public places, hoping to find their soulmates.

a no-music person locking eyes with their soulmate at a festival, tearing up as jaunty festival music suddenly buzzes to life around them.
